About Gravity Perks Conditional Pricing
When a single product has a member price, an early bird price, an age-based rate or a quantity discount, the usual approach is to create one product field per variant and hide the extras with conditional logic. It works with three prices; with twenty, the form becomes unmanageable and slow.
One product field with a variable price
Gravity Perks Conditional Pricing replaces that collection of duplicate fields with a single product field whose price changes depending on what is filled in on the form. It works with Single Product, Drop Down, Radio Button and Hidden product fields.
The underlying idea: anyone selling registrations, tickets or customized products rarely has one price, they have a price table. That table usually lives in a spreadsheet and in someone's head. This plugin moves it into the form and turns it into rules.
Cases it covers:
- Early bird pricing.
- Tiered quantity pricing and bulk discounts.
- Age-based pricing.
- Member vs. non-member.
- Dynamic pricing for customized products, based on what the user enters.
Pricing levels and rules with the logic you already know
Each pricing level consists of a price and one or more rules. The rules are written just like standard Gravity Forms conditional logic: you choose a form field, an operator and a value. You can add as many levels and as many rules per level as you need, and reorder them by dragging.
Here is the detail that causes the most mistakes: levels follow a first match policy. The first level whose rules are met wins, so the strictest ones go on top. Normally you order them from the lowest price to the highest.
Hundreds of levels: import and export from a spreadsheet
If your price list is large, editing level by level on screen is not realistic. The plugin exports levels to CSV and imports them back, with three strategies: replace everything, replace only matching products, or append without touching what already exists. With hundreds of levels, the CSV can be your source of truth, and reimporting it with full replacement keeps the editor in sync.
The importer supports operators such as is, is not, less than, greater than, contains, starts with and ends with, plus special values for empty or non-empty fields. A practical tip: create a few rules from the interface, export them and use that CSV as a template. After importing, you need to click the save button for the rules to be applied.
Dates, other add-ons and what to decide before buying
For date-based prices (for example, a tier that ends on a specific day) it is combined with Gravity Forms Conditional Logic Dates, another add-on from the same suite. On its own, Conditional Pricing does not decide by date.
You need Gravity Forms installed, because this is an add-on and does not work independently. And if what you want is to calculate prices with math formulas from entered numbers, consider whether levels with rules are enough, which is what this plugin offers.
Does it replace several product fields with conditional logic?
Yes: a single product field with several levels replaces that pile of hidden fields and improves form performance.
Is there a limit on pricing levels?
No: you can create an unlimited number of levels per product field.
What happens if two levels match at once?
The first one in the list is applied, so order them with the strictest on top.
Can I edit prices in a spreadsheet?
Yes: export to CSV, edit and reimport with the strategy you prefer. Remember to save after importing.
Does it work with any product field?
With Single Product, Drop Down, Radio Button and Hidden. If you use another field type, check it in the demo.
