About BoroBazar – Grocery Store WooCommerce WordPress theme
Selling groceries online has a problem other shops do not face: nobody buys just one thing. Someone filling a supermarket cart adds twenty products, and if each one means opening a page, waiting for a reload and going back, they give up. A generic shop theme is built to sell one carefully viewed product, not a weekly shop.
The weekly shop, step by step with BoroBazar
Picture a customer coming in to place their usual order. This is how BoroBazar walks them through it:
- They search for what they need: autocomplete search helps them reach a product without browsing categories, and it is available across the whole store.
- They filter without reloading: categories, sorting and filters work with AJAX, including color swatch filters. The filter can appear in a popup, at the top or in the sidebar.
- They add from the card itself: the product card includes a quantity selector, so several units can be added without opening the product page.
- They look closer only if they want to: there are quick shopping popups, and the product page offers image zoom, a buy now button and AJAX cart, wishlist and compare buttons.
A catalog that goes beyond groceries
Although it is designed for grocery stores, online supermarkets and organic food delivery, it also works for department stores and multipurpose shops, such as fashion or furniture. On the product page you can show attributes such as select, radio, color box or image, grid or carousel galleries, stock labels, tabs and accordions. It also includes a questions and answers system and a review system, useful when a customer hesitates between two brands or sizes.
What you need to set up yourself, and what does not come solved
BoroBazar is a WooCommerce theme: without WooCommerce there is no store. It provides the design and the shopping experience, but it does not by itself handle things specific to a real supermarket, such as delivery zones, delivery time slots or products sold by weight. If your business needs them, check the demo and be ready to solve them with other plugins. If you sell food, also review the product information that regulations require you to display.

You can control typography, colors and buttons, and choose between several headers and footers, with unlimited sidebars and backgrounds. The shop offers three layouts, a fixed filter button, load more, infinite scroll or pagination, and the theme is built to look good on mobile. For stores that want to show collections, there are lookbook and portfolio pages.
