About BricksExtras Bricks Builder Addon

Bricks does a lot, but day-to-day work asks for pieces it doesn't ship with

BricksExtras is an add-on for people who already work with Bricks and want pieces like an accessible modal, a table you can search and sort, a slider with external controls or a video player with your own design inside the same editor.

Elements that behave like native Bricks ones

The library includes dozens of elements and features. Some of the most useful:

  • Dynamic Table: tables with search, sorting and pagination fed by a Bricks query loop.
  • Nestable Table: static or dynamic tables, with a vertical mobile version, compatible with Bricks filter elements.
  • Pro Slider: accessible sliders with external controls and syncing between them.
  • Modal, Pro OffCanvas, Slide Menu and Burger Trigger: popups and slide-out menus with an animated button.
  • Media Player: a video and audio player with an interface you design yourself, playlists, chapters and captions.
  • Others: 360 panoramas, QR codes, guided page tours, a before/after comparison, star ratings, breadcrumbs with schema and buttons to share on 10 networks.

Effects for any element, and dynamic data

Besides the elements, it adds features you can apply to any native Bricks element: floating effect, scroll parallax, tilt on hover, tooltips, header extras and an X-ray mode to inspect the structure.

The elements are designed to work with Bricks query loops and dynamic data. For example, the stars can show "X out of Y" in a list of reviews, and image hotspots can be positioned from dynamic data.

Accessibility and performance, with clear limits

Where possible, the elements include ARIA labels and keyboard navigation, and you can tweak them. On the frontend they use no jQuery and the structural CSS is minimal. You can also enable only the features you need, so what you don't use isn't loaded.

That doesn't replace an accessibility review of your site: "where possible" doesn't mean everything is solved without testing.

You need Bricks Builder, and some integrations require their own plugin

BricksExtras is an add-on: without Bricks Builder installed it does nothing. Here is what it already solves and what you'll have to cover yourself:

  • Already solved: visual and interactive elements, effects, dynamic tables and a media player.
  • With another plugin: the Fluent Form element requires Fluent Forms; favorites or product wishlists require your store (WooCommerce or SureCart); the facet styler is for WP Grid Builder.
  • By hand or with a professional: final design, content, alt text and any behavior outside the settings, for which there are JS events and functions aimed at developers.

It is not a theme and it doesn't include full site templates: it provides pieces to build your own.

BricksExtras frequently asked questions

Does it work without Bricks Builder?

No. It is an add-on exclusively for Bricks.

Do I have to use every element?

No. You can enable only the ones you need so the rest isn't loaded.

Is it good for tables with data from my posts?

Yes, the dynamic table is fed by a Bricks query loop and supports search, sorting and pagination.

Does it limit design with closed styles?

Its approach is the opposite: it provides the functionality and leaves control of the design in your hands.
