About Brivona – Clinical Websites WordPress Theme with Appointments Booking

Every appointment booked online is a call that never comes in

In a clinic, the receptionist spends the day on the phone giving out times, while patients wait in front of the desk. It is the most expensive way there is to run a diary, and the one most practices still use.

Brivona is a WordPress theme for clinics, practices, medical centres and hospitals, with the sector's pages built and aimed at getting the appointment booked without anyone picking up.

What it brings

  • Departments and specialties, each with its own page.
  • Team profiles, which in healthcare is what gets looked at most before deciding.
  • Opening hours, presented as a timetable.
  • Six demos and several headers, with blog and portfolio layouts.
  • Editing with Elementor or WPBakery, plus Contact Form 7 and compatibility with WooCommerce and WPML.

The first thing to clarify: the appointment

The theme is compatible with the Trubooker appointment plugin, and that compatibility is its argument. But that plugin is bought separately.

Worth knowing beforehand, because it is the piece a clinical theme gets chosen for. Without it you have the pages and the timetable table, which is presentation, and the appointment is still requested by phone or by form. When budgeting the project, the appointment plugin goes inside.

Two things to decide about the diary

What can be booked without calling. Not everything. A first visit in a complex specialty, or a test needing preparation beforehand, should not be bookable blind. What tends to work is opening routine visits and follow-ups to free booking and leaving the rest on the phone.

What data gets asked for. And here caution pays: the less the form asks, the better. A "reason for consultation" field where the patient types their symptoms turns that form into processing of health data, with everything that entails. To hand out a time, a name, a contact and a specialty is enough.
