About Cariera Job Board WordPress Theme
An empty job board convinces nobody, and the theme won't fill it for you
Setting up a job board usually hits the same wall: companies won't post jobs if there are no candidates, and candidates won't sign up if there are no jobs. On top of that, each side needs a place to manage its own things, or you will end up answering emails by hand.
Cariera Job Board is built on WP Job Manager and takes care of the structure: one dashboard for employers and another for candidates, frontend registration with moderation, messages and alerts. What it does not solve is traffic or the first batch of job listings. You bring those, and it is worth planning them before designing anything.
Cariera depending on the kind of portal you want to build
A portal that charges companies
Cariera Packages, the plugin that comes with the theme, handles submission packages (pay to post a job), promotion packages (pay to feature it from the dashboard) and access to an individual listing page. The theme is compatible with WooCommerce.
A job board for one city or one industry
The theme supports Google Maps, Open Street Maps or Mapbox, with autocomplete and a split half-map view. It includes advanced search fields.
A company posting its own vacancies
The built-in Company Manager lets you post jobs on behalf of a company, show its details and manage its jobs without third-party plugins. With Contact Form 7 you can enable contact with candidates and with companies.
What happens inside Cariera Job Board once you have users
- Private messaging: employers and candidates talk inside the site, without exchanging emails.
- Instant notifications: applications received, approved listings, expired listings and other events.
- Frontend registration and login: you can moderate every sign-up, and only approved users get in.
- Cariera Addons, the theme's own plugin: it improves applications, application deadlines, bookmarks, job alerts, tags and resumes, so you don't need the paid WP Job Manager addons for those features.
Designing with Elementor without starting from scratch
The theme includes 12 homepages and many extra pages, all built with Elementor, plus custom elements for that page builder. The demo imports with one click and leaves you with a site like the sample one, which you then adapt.
Listings come with 8 designs for jobs, 4 for companies and 4 for resumes, and single listing pages also offer several designs. There is typography control with more than 800 Google fonts, child theme support, a .pot file for translation and buttons to share on social media. If you publish content, it supports post formats such as video, gallery or quote.
Common questions before choosing Cariera
Do I need paid plugins for it to work?
Not for the basics: the theme and its own plugins cover the job board. Compatible third-party plugins are bought separately and are not part of the theme or the demo.
Can I charge for posting jobs?
Yes, with Cariera Packages: pay to post, pay to feature and pay to view a specific listing.
Is it useful if I don't use Elementor?
The demo pages are built with Elementor, so the logical choice is to work with it.
Can it be translated?
Yes, it includes a .pot file.
WooCommerce subscriptions are not covered by Cariera Packages
If your model is a monthly fee for posting jobs, Cariera Packages does not yet support WC Subscription. In that case you would need to keep using WC Paid Listings. And if you want extras such as resume alerts or LinkedIn integration, those are third-party plugins bought separately.
