About DarkMySite PRO
A half-done dark mode is worse than none
Turning on a dark mode often ends in grey text on a black background that is hard to read, buttons that vanish or blocks that stay white and flash in the middle of the page. It happens when the theme was not designed for it and you try to fix it with CSS.
DarkMySite PRO tries to avoid that: its AI detection analyzes the page content live and applies dark mode on top of that structure, instead of blindly inverting colors. Anyone who already chose dark mode on their device expects your site to respect it, especially at night.
Switch, operating system or schedule: you decide when it turns on
The plugin offers several ways to turn dark mode on, and you can combine them depending on your audience:
- Floating switch: one click to go from light to dark. You can change its colors, style and size from the dashboard to match your brand.
- System detection (OS Aware): if the visitor's device already uses dark mode, the site adapts.
- By local time (Time Based): dark mode turns on automatically based on the visitor's time.
- Admin panel: you can also darken the WordPress dashboard if you edit for long hours.
It includes ready-made color presets and the option to create your own.
Logos and light images are for you to review
No plugin knows how you want your logo to look on black. This is what is left on each side:
- The plugin handles it: darkening the backgrounds and text of the theme and of the compatible page builders.
- The plugin handles it: lowering brightness or applying grayscale to images and videos, and replacing images when dark mode is on.
- You cover it: having the alternative version of each logo or illustration with a white background ready. The plugin swaps it in, but it does not design it.
- You cover it: going through the key pages (home, posts, forms, shop if you have one) and excluding whatever does not look right.
- You cover it: some custom CSS if a very particular element calls for it. The plugin supports different CSS for light and dark mode.
Excluding sections by class or ID, without writing CSS
If an area looks bad in dark mode, you do not need to touch any files: you enter its class or ID and decide whether dark mode applies to it or not. You can also exclude specific pages, content types, posts and tags. It is useful for a block with a brand background that must stay as it is.
It works with Elementor, Divi Builder, WPBakery, Visual Composer, Beaver Builder and Oxygen Builder. If you work with another builder, test your most complex templates in the demo before taking anything for granted. The plugin weighs less than 350 kb.

Do I need to know CSS?
Not for the usual tasks: turning it on, choosing a preset and excluding sections by class or ID is done from the dashboard. CSS only comes in if you want to fine-tune a detail.
Does it work for the WordPress dashboard?
Yes, it includes dark mode for the admin panel.
Can I schedule it for the evening?
Yes, with the mode based on the visitor's local time.
