About Directorist WooCommerce Pricing Plans
For whoever charges to publish in their directory, not for those who keep it free
Building a directory is easy; getting it to pay for itself is hard. Many owners fill the site with free listings, and when they want to start charging they find they have no plans, no payment gateway and no way to manage orders. Directorist WooCommerce Pricing Plans is for anyone who already has a directory built with Directorist and wants to sell listing plans using WooCommerce as the checkout.
It is not for you if your directory does not use Directorist: this is an extension that depends on that plugin and does not work on its own. Nor is it for you if you want a payment system of its own: payment is handled by WooCommerce, so you need it installed with at least one gateway set up.
Plans created as WooCommerce products
Plans are created from the WooCommerce interface, the same one you already use for any product. You can create as many plans as you want, each with a different set of features, so each user buys the package that fits what they need.
You can also charge for each listing submission, without forcing anyone to buy a package.
Directorist WooCommerce Pricing Plans and payment with your usual gateway
Because orders go through WooCommerce, you can use any payment gateway compatible with WooCommerce. You do not have to learn a new system: orders, history and payment processing are managed where you already work. The extension includes views of the user's order history and active packages, so each person can see what they have bought.

It needs WooCommerce Subscriptions for recurring payments
Read this carefully. The integration with WooCommerce Subscriptions is what enables recurring payments, automatic plan expiration and charging a signup fee for the subscription. If you want to charge every month or every year automatically, you will need that WooCommerce plugin in addition to this extension. Without it, do not count on automatic renewals.

What you should decide before setting prices
The extension gives you the tools, but it does not decide your model. Before creating plans, think about what sets one apart from another: number of listings, available features or duration. A free plan that is too generous means nobody pays; one that is too limited scares off people who do not yet trust your directory. Test the full purchase as a user before opening to the public, to check that the flow from plan to publication is clear.
