About Divi Ghoster
If you hand over Divi sites to clients (and not if you run WordPress multisite)
You deliver a finished site and a week later the client opens the Divi menu, pokes at the theme options or sees their website "is a Divi" and starts wondering why they pay you instead of building it themselves. Divi Ghoster is for people who design with Divi or Extra for third parties, for agencies that want to sell the backend as their own product, and for anyone building a membership site under their own brand. It is not for you if your network runs WordPress multisite: it is not compatible. Nor is it a security tool in the strict sense: it hides, it does not shield.
What Divi Ghoster changes in the theme and the builder
You can replace the theme name, the author and the thumbnail, and change the slug so that anyone inspecting the source code sees your text instead of Divi or Extra. Updates will show up as updates to your own branded theme, with no mention of Elegant Themes. You can also give the Divi Builder your client's colors (with a color picker or hex values) in the page builder, the visual builder, the theme options, the theme builder and the role editor.
It works with Divi, with Extra and with child themes, whether you edit directly or work from one. It is compatible with Divi 4 and Divi 5 compatibility is coming soon, so if you are about to start a project on that version, check first.
Hide what the client should not touch
The Ultimate Ghoster module hides parts of the Divi menu with checkboxes:
- Theme options, theme builder and customizer.
- Role editor, Divi library and support center.
- Premade layouts and product tours.
It can also disguise related plugins, such as Divi Switch, Divi Bars, Divi Booster and Ghoster itself. But mind the access: if you hide the theme, you lose sight of it too. For that there is a hidden link inside the plugin's panel and a keyboard shortcut, so your administrators can keep editing without leaving a visible trace for everyone else.
Divi Ghoster beyond Divi: dashboard, login and WordPress
It is not just Divi cosmetics. You can remove default WordPress menus (Appearance, Settings, Tools, Plugins, Updates), hide the WordPress logo and the "Thank you for creating with WordPress" footer, and clear the dashboard widgets so a new user does not get lost.
A dashboard and login with your brand
With the Divi Builder you can create a page and set it as the dashboard welcome screen, with quick links, guidance for the client or a support form. It includes four layouts to start from. The login customizer lets you change the logo, the background image and color, the details box and the text styles, and mask the login URL.
The same settings on every project
You can export the configuration and import it on a new site, which is welcome if you repeat the same finish for all your clients.
What it hides and what it cannot guarantee
The plugin makes the most common theme detectors fail to identify Divi or Extra. That is a promise of "almost all", not of all: a determined technician may find other clues. Think of it as professional brand makeup, not a shield.
