About Ninja Forms PayPal

Getting paid from a form without building a whole store

Many people who need to collect something (a fee, a registration, a deposit, a donation) end up installing a full store with a cart, product pages and gateways, or pasting a PayPal button on a page where nobody finds it. Ninja Forms PayPal avoids both: it adds a payment action to a Ninja Forms form, and the form collects the data and the money in a single step.

With this kind of income, the payment and the customer's details often live in different places: the charge in PayPal, and who paid and for what in an email or a spreadsheet. When everything goes through the same form, each payment arrives with the answers of the person who made it.

Which payment methods Ninja Forms PayPal offers on each form

You choose which methods appear on each form, it is not all or nothing:

  • PayPal, Venmo and Pay Later, with guest checkout included.
  • Credit card on the page itself, without sending the customer to PayPal's site and without needing WooCommerce.
  • Apple Pay (shown in Safari and on Apple devices) and Google Pay (on Android and Chrome), with no separate setup.
  • Bank debits and bank redirects such as iDEAL and Sofort, useful for international customers.

It supports more than 25 currencies. Payment goes through PayPal's infrastructure, so card data never touches your server. The connection to your PayPal Business account is also done with one click, with no keys or credentials to copy, and there is a Sandbox mode to test before charging for real.

Three ways to set the amount in Ninja Forms PayPal

  • Fixed price: the same amount on every submission, for a set fee or service.
  • Calculated total: the amount is recalculated based on the options, quantities or tiers the customer picks.
  • Free amount: the person types how much they want to pay, designed for donations or tips.

With any of the three you can apply discount codes. Confirmation emails, success messages and redirects fire based on payment status, and both the customer and your team can be notified.

What it offers depending on what you sell

If you run events or registrations

You collect the attendee's details and the payment at the same time. With calculated totals you can charge for several tickets in one submission or for different registration levels.

If you run an association or a cause

Free amounts and preset amounts suit donations. Offering Venmo, Apple Pay or card reduces friction, and Pay Later lets donors spread larger contributions.

If you offer services by appointment or consultation

You can charge a deposit or the full amount when booking through the form. With Conditional Logic, the price adapts to what the customer selects.

It needs Ninja Forms and a PayPal Business account

It does not work on its own: it is an add-on for Ninja Forms and collects through a PayPal Business account. It is not a store: it does not manage inventory, cart or shipping, and if your catalogue is large or you need that kind of management, a full ecommerce solution will serve you better. Payments arrive in your PayPal account alongside the rest of your transactions.
