About Dokan – WooCommerce Booking Integration
If your marketplace rents cars or books appointments, and doesn't just ship parcels
A multivendor marketplace built around products with stock falls short when the vendor offers a room, a car or an hour of consultation: there is nothing to ship, only a slot in a calendar to book. This Dokan module adds that piece: vendors create bookable products and the customer customizes their booking when buying.
In that kind of business, the real inventory is the calendar. A slot nobody books doesn't get restocked tomorrow, and a badly configured slot creates overlaps that the vendor pays for with an angry customer. That's why how schedules are defined matters more than how many products get published.
It suits you if you build a marketplace for rentals (cars, for example), appointment-based services or events. It doesn't suit you if your catalog is made of physical products that are bought and shipped: it adds nothing there. It also doesn't work on its own, as we explain below.
Multiple time blocks and buffer time between bookings
Dokan WooCommerce Booking Integration lets you use several time blocks on the same bookable product, and that is likely to widen the sales possibilities.
The second useful setting is buffer time: an interval between the end of one booking and the start of the next.
Tags, categories and guest limits in Dokan Booking
- Tags and categories: bookable products are organized just like regular products, so the marketplace catalog stays easy to manage.
- Maximum guests: the vendor sets how many people each booking admits.
- Resources: they can also limit the resources tied to the booking.
It needs WooCommerce Bookings and Dokan Pro up and running
This module is a bridge, not a complete booking system. It requires three pieces already installed: WooCommerce, the WooCommerce Bookings plugin and Dokan Pro. If any is missing, there are no bookings.
Before deciding, check in the demo how the vendor sees the slot configuration, because that's where you can tell whether it fits the type of service you want to offer.
