About Dunker – Fashion and Clothing Shop Theme
In fashion, the enemy is not conversion: it is returns
A clothing shop can sell enormously and still lose money. Between thirty and forty per cent of what gets bought in fashion online comes back, and every return costs the outbound postage, the return postage, checking the garment, restocking it and sometimes not being able to resell it at all.
And the reason is almost always the same: the size. Not the website design. Which is why a fashion shop's margin rests on three things the theme does not bring and that have to be built on top.
What Dunker brings
- Nine homepages, with one-click demo import.
- Shop shortcodes: product listings with price filtering, by category, by brand and interactive categories.
- Dropdown and side cart, plus order tracking.
- Variation swatches, quick view and wishlist, through the studio's own add-ons and the YITH ones.
- Elementor and WPBakery, with Slider Revolution included and a child theme.
The three things that cut returns
A real size guide. Not the manufacturer's generic table: the garment's measurements in centimetres. Chest width, total length, sleeve length. The customer can measure a t-shirt that fits them and compare, and that gets it right far more often than "size M".
The model's measurements. "The model is 178cm and wears a small" is the single sentence that prevents the most returns in fashion retail, and it costs one line per photo shoot to write.
Reviews that state the size bought. A comment saying "runs small, I ordered one up" is worth more than twenty stars. It gets solved by adding a field to the reviews.
None of the three is an expensive plugin. All three together change the bottom line more than any redesign.
A note on the studio
The theme comes from Qode Interactive and fits with their own Elementor widget pack and their shop add-ons. If you are going to use their extras, the whole thing stays coherent. If you already have another widget pack installed, worth picking one rather than accumulating both.
