Building an online campus without coding an LMS from scratch
People who want to sell courses often start with a generic WordPress site, paste in a training plugin and end up with something that looks like a blog with a buy button: no student panel, no way for other teachers to upload classes and no control over who sees which lesson. EduMall starts from the opposite end: it is a theme designed for academies, institutes and independent instructors who want something similar to Udemy or Coursera, with the course engine already built in.
It works with Tutor LMS as the course system and Elementor as the page builder, so the design is built visually, dragging and dropping on top of the theme's demos.
What EduMall does with Tutor LMS: courses, quizzes and certificates
The teaching side carries the most weight in the decision. These are the functions that matter:
- Frontend course builder: instructors and administrators create content, quizzes and assignments, and add other instructors without entering the WordPress dashboard. It supports video and file attachments (audio, documents).
- Quizzes with ten question types: single or multiple choice, true or false, fill in the blanks, short answer, open-ended questions and essays, ordering, matching and two image-based variants. You can limit attempts and time, randomize questions and show the passing grade.
- Content drip and prerequisites: students cannot open the next lesson until they finish the previous one, you can lock a lesson until a set date and require completed courses before enrollment.
- Certificates: pre-designed templates or ones customized to your center's style.
- Reports: statistics with filters for enrollments, reviews, quiz attempts and sales, for each type of user.
Charging, splitting commissions and building a community
A campus with several teachers is also a business with revenue sharing, and that is where many homemade setups get complicated. With the WooCommerce integration you can sell courses, set the commission percentage between the platform and each instructor, apply deductions and define the minimum amount and methods for withdrawing earnings, with time-based statistics. The payment methods mentioned include PayPal, E-Check and bank transfer.
For the social side, the BuddyPress integration allows user profiles, private messages, connections and groups. The Zoom integration is for live video sessions between instructor and students. Each course page shows ratings, a wishlist and related courses from the same category, which help students compare before buying.
What EduMall needs to work well
It is a theme that depends on other pieces: Tutor LMS provides course management, Elementor the design, WooCommerce the payments and BuddyPress the community. That means more plugins to maintain and a heavier site than a simple one, something to keep in mind if your hosting is modest. If you only want to publish a few videos or a paid PDF, it is more than you need.

Can I have several teachers on the same site?
Yes. A course can have unlimited instructors, and each one manages their own content and sees their own reports.
Can I stop students from skipping lessons?
Yes, with content drip and prerequisites between courses.
Is it suitable for live classes?
It includes Zoom integration for video sessions, but live classes do not replace recorded courses: they are handled through Zoom.
Can I set it up without touching code?
Yes for the design, because it is edited visually with Elementor on top of the demos. Even so, it is worth checking in the demo how the student and instructor flow looks before deciding.
Is it only for large platforms?
No: it also suits an individual instructor who wants to sell courses, as long as they accept working with Tutor LMS.
