About Elementor Single Builder for MEC
A hundred events, one single page to design
Anyone running events on WordPress usually lives with the single event page that comes with their calendar: a generic design that doesn't fit the brand, blocks in an order they didn't choose and no way to remove what's left over. And that page, not the listing, is exactly where someone decides whether to sign up.
You are not designing a hundred pages, but one template that will be repeated a hundred times. If it fails on one detail (a tiny date, a button lost at the bottom), the flaw is multiplied on every event. Elementor Single Builder for MEC lets you build that template in Elementor, with drag and drop, and use it for all your events.
Elementor Single Builder for MEC turns each piece of the event into a standalone widget
Instead of a closed block, the event page is made up of independent Elementor widgets. That gives you four concrete things:
- Remove what you don't want: if you don't like a widget, you delete it and use others in its place.
- Place each piece where it fits: you can use the widgets separately and build whatever section you want, at whatever size you want.
- Change the style: you adjust the look of the widgets and the typography so they match your brand.
- Animate: each widget supports its own animation.
It is an add-on, not a plugin that works on its own
You need Modern Events Calendar installed (the Lite or the Pro version both work) and Elementor to edit. The add-on is designed for each event's page and for the modal window of the shortcodes; don't buy it expecting it to redesign other parts of your site. If you work with another page builder such as VC, Divi Builder or KC, they can coexist with Elementor on the same site, but the event template is edited in Elementor.
Common questions before installing it alongside MEC Lite or Divi
Does it work with MEC Lite or do I need the Pro version?
It works with both, with no restrictions for using Lite.
Can I keep another page builder active?
Yes. It can be active alongside VC, Divi Builder and KC.
Can I create more than one template?
Yes, you can create as many single event templates as you like. If you plan to use different designs for different types of event, check in the demo how you choose which one applies to each.
Do I have to touch code?
No. The design is done in Elementor by dragging and dropping widgets.
What about the shortcode pop-up window?
You can also assign it its own template, as explained below.
Unlimited templates and a modal with its own design
A conference calendar doesn't need the same page as a weekend workshop or a free talk. Since there is no limit on templates, you can try different designs, compare which one keeps visitors better and stay with the one that works.
The other piece is the modal window: when you display events with a shortcode and the visitor opens one in a pop-up window, that window can have its own template. That way the experience doesn't change abruptly between the listing and the detail.
Test the template with your hardest event before applying it to all of them
Before you accept the template, load it with the event that has the most data: a very long title, many speakers, a lengthy description. If it looks good there, the rest won't cause problems. Check the mobile version too, because that is where a design made with loose widgets and free sizes tends to get thrown off.
And if you use animations, do it in moderation: one per widget is possible, but an event page has to let people read the date, the place and the registration button without distractions.
