Anyone who sells wholesale knows how this goes: the customer asks for "the catalog", you send a link to the shop, and they end up pasting photos into a spreadsheet or printing web pages that come out cut off. Exporo turns your WooCommerce products into a PDF catalog that can be downloaded, saved and forwarded.
The catalog is what circulates inside your customer's company
In B2B sales one person rarely decides alone. The buyer who visits your shop has to show the selection to a boss, a partner or the warehouse, and a website can't be filed or annotated. A PDF can: it is attached to an email, printed for a meeting and read offline. In addition, the document can carry embedded links that lead back to your site, so the PDF keeps bringing traffic to the shop.
How to build a catalog from the WordPress dashboard
Everything is done in the WordPress dashboard, with no external software. You pick products in a data table with search and filters, and you can group them by category with one click.
- Cover: you upload an A4-size image.
- Index and bookmarks: they are added automatically when you ask for them, useful in long catalogs where the customer looks for a specific reference.
- Layout: classic view or table view, with style settings for both the PDF and the shop buttons.
- Fonts: includes Noto, Roboto, Open Sans and Lato, which cover many languages.
A download button wherever you need it
The plugin comes with a shortcode to create "download the PDF catalog" buttons, configurable from the settings. You can also have it inserted automatically before the WooCommerce product loop.
A catalog only for people with an account
If your prices or your range are for wholesalers, you can limit access to the PDF links to logged-in users and choose which WordPress roles can download them. That way the catalog isn't open to everyone, which matters if you have different terms for each type of customer.
For busy shops, PDFs are cached for the time you set, so they are not regenerated on every download and don't load the server. The cache is cleared with one click when you change products.
Changes don't reach the PDF on their own and it doesn't replace a price list
Be clear about the boundaries before buying:
- What it already solves: product selection, grouping by category, cover, index, bookmarks, shortcode button, role restriction and cache.
- What you will need to cover: if you change prices or stock, clear the cache or the customer will download the previous version.
- What you will need to cover: creating wholesale roles (for example "B2B Customer") and role-based prices are handled with WooCommerce or another plugin, not with Exporo.
- What you will need to check: in the demo, how the PDF looks with your real data, especially if your products have many variations or long descriptions.
