It is a small product solving a very specific clash, and anybody who has it knows it well.

On one side you build the listings with Elementor Pro, because you want to decide how each card looks rather than settling for whatever grid comes as standard. On the other you need real filtering: the visitor narrowing by price, colour, category and three more things without reloading the page.

And by default those two pieces do not talk to each other. The filters do not know which listing to refresh, so you give up either the design or the filtering.

This add-on connects the two. And it does it in the most welcome way possible: after installing it there is nothing to configure. The compatible Elementor listing modules start showing a FacetWP option, you switch it on, and that is it.

Before buying: this is not a filtering plugin

Worth saying plainly because it is the confusion that makes somebody buy this expecting something else.

This add-on filters nothing on its own. It is a connecting piece, and it needs both parts it connects: FacetWP on one side and Elementor Pro on the other, neither of which comes inside.

If you do not have FacetWP yet, the underlying decision is a different one and deserves separate thought, because there are simpler and cheaper filters that may be enough.

When a faceted system is needed and when it is surplus

The answer hinges on one thing: how many different criteria the visitor crosses at once.

It is surplus if your catalogue has two hundred products that sort well by two or three categories. A normal shop filter does that and complicates nothing.

It is needed when the visitor has to cross four or five criteria over thousands of records: a property directory with area, price, bedrooms and floor area; a parts catalogue with make, model and year; a database of professionals with speciality, region and language. There the ordinary filter jams and the faceted system is the difference between finding something and giving up.

And the clearest signal that you need it comes from analytics, not intuition: if people type combinations of criteria into your internal search box, your navigation is not giving them to them.

Alternatives in the catalogue

If your case is a normal WooCommerce shop and what you want is filtering the catalogue without reloading, there are more direct options without depending on two chained plugins: YITH Ajax Product Filter and BeRocket do exactly that.
