About Feeds for YouTube Pro
Upload the video to YouTube and let your site catch up on its own
Anyone who publishes video regularly ends up maintaining two places: the channel and the website. Every new release means copying the link, pasting the embed, adjusting the size and remembering to remove the old one. And if you let it slide, the site shows a channel that looks abandoned even though the channel is active.
Feeds for YouTube Pro removes that duplication: you connect the channel, choose how it looks, and new videos appear on the page without you touching anything. You can show a channel, playlists, your favorites list or live streams, and keep several feeds running at once on different pages.
Feeds for YouTube Pro does not load the player until someone interacts
Embedding many YouTube players is one of the fastest ways to slow a page down, because each one makes external requests on load. Here the visitor sees the feed first and the player only loads when they start interacting with it. For anyone who depends on people staying on their site, that detail matters more than any visual effect.
The available layouts are grid, gallery, list and carousel, all adapted to mobile. By default the feed inherits your theme styles, so it usually fits without adjustments, and if you want to tweak it there are customization options. The texts can be changed or translated into whatever language you need.
If your site asks for cookie consent, the plugin integrates with several popular consent plugins and, once enabled, shows a version of the feed with no third-party requests. That does not replace checking that your setup meets the regulations that apply to you.
What the visitor sees when the video ends: you decide
With the custom actions on pause or end you can show a link to a product page or thumbnails of your other videos, turning the end of the video into the next step of the visit.
- Filter videos by keywords in the title or description, useful for showing a single topic on each page.
- Combine several channels into a single feed.
- Show the upcoming and currently playing live streams from your channel.
- Feed from your favorites list to present a curated selection.
- Change the HTML with your own templates or adjust behavior with hooks, if you work with development.
It includes a Gutenberg block and automatic health checks that warn you when something prevents the feed from updating.
Is a YouTube showcase enough, or do you need something else?
This plugin is a display layer: the videos stay hosted on YouTube and the feed is fed from your account, so you need to have the content there and connect it. It is not for hosting video on your own or for showing other social networks (each has its own plugin). It also does not guarantee more subscribers or sales: it puts your content on the site, and the result depends on that content.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. The process is connect, customize and embed the feed. Templates and hooks are optional, for those who want to control the HTML.
Can I have several feeds on the same site?
Yes, with no limit on feeds, and you can also combine several channels into one.
Will it slow down my page?
It is designed to avoid that: the YouTube player does not load until the visitor interacts with the feed.
Can it show live streams?
Yes. It can show a feed with the upcoming streams and the ones currently playing on your channel.
