If you sell abroad and your customers do mental math with the exchange rate
A shopper who sees a price in a currency that is not theirs tends to do a quick conversion, hesitate and close the tab. This plugin lets them choose their own currency and see your catalog prices in it, using real-time exchange rates.
It is not for those looking to solve taxes, shipping or language: its ground is currencies and how prices are displayed.
- Seeing is not charging: a visitor seeing prices in their currency does not force you to charge in it; you decide whether they pay in that currency or in your store's base currency.
- Rates do not change on their own against your wishes: you choose when and how often they are updated.

Automatic conversion produces figures nobody would set by hand, and a catalog full of odd decimals looks improvised. The plugin lets you set a specific price in each currency, independent of the exchange rate, so your prices stay round and predictable.
You also control how they are displayed: how many decimals, which symbol and where it goes (before the price, after it or as a superscript). For currencies without decimals, such as JPY or TWD, you can hide the cents.
Charging in the customer's currency or in your store's
This is the plugin's most important business decision. The plugin supports both routes and you choose.
- Payment rules by country through GeoIP, so each customer pays in their country's currency.
- Payment methods assigned to each currency, so the customer only sees the options that suit them.
- Individual GeoIP rules per product, if you do not want the whole catalog to behave the same way.
Roles, invented symbols and statistics: what FOX tells you about your customers
You can set different prices depending on the user's role, useful for stores with wholesalers, partners or customers with different access levels. And if your business is a game or a virtual marketplace, it supports custom currency symbols, even for currencies that do not exist.
The plugin records which currencies your visitors choose and which ones orders are placed in, and generates reports with that data. That way you know whether your extra currency is really used or just clutters the selector.
Developers get an API of functions and hooks to adapt it to specific needs. It works on mobile and makes few database queries.
Does it work with caching, with yen and with the old name WOOCS?
Can I display one currency and charge in another? Yes, it is an option you turn on or off depending on how you want to handle payments.
Is it compatible with caching plugins? It is designed so that currency switching keeps working on cached pages. Test it in your own setup before going live.
What about currencies without decimals? You can hide the cents on those that do not use them, such as JPY or TWD.
Can I set my own prices in each currency? Yes, fixed prices per currency regardless of the exchange rate.
Is it the same plugin as WOOCS? Yes, WOOCS is its former name.
