About GamiPress Congratulations Popups Addon
Someone reached your highest rank and the screen stayed the same
A user spent weeks adding up points on your site. Today they reach the goal you worked hardest to design, the system records it with total accuracy, and they keep reading the same page. If nothing shows at that instant, the achievement ends up as a line on their profile.
A points system counts what happens, but the excitement depends on someone seeing it happen. It helps to think of popups as a short list of chosen moments, with the goals that truly take effort, rather than a notice for every small step.
Congratulations Popups is a GamiPress add-on that shows automatic popups when the condition you set is met, with visual effects, sound and display limits.
Six conditions that open a popup
- Reach a points balance: you choose the amount and the points type.
- Unlock a specific achievement.
- Unlock any achievement of a type.
- Unlock all achievements of a type: useful for rewarding someone who completed a collection.
- Reach a specific rank.
- Reach any rank of a type.
Choosing a condition reveals its own fields. If your goal depends on another action, you can create it as an achievement in GamiPress and use that achievement as the condition.
Message, confetti and sound in each popup
Each popup has its own title and content, and both accept tags filled in with the user's data:
- Balance: the current balance of any points type, for example
{gems_balance}for a type called gems, and the points type image. - Achievements: the latest ones earned, with ID, title and link, such as
{badges_title}and{badges_link}. - Ranks: the current rank of any type.
- Shortcodes: a GamiPress shortcode can use these tags, for example to show the achievement just earned.
Tags for each type are added automatically and take their name from that type's slug.
On the visual side you choose among four effects: Confetti, Confetti Fireworks, Stars and Bubbles, with configurable particle color and a preview. There is also sound on appearing and disappearing, background, title and content colors, and closing with a click on the popup. You can also create your own effects, such as gold confetti.
How often it shows, and where its job ends
Each popup has two caps: Maximum Displays, the total, and Maximum Displays Per User, the one for each user. With 0 there is no limit. For a milestone reached only once, a cap of 1 per user avoids repeating the celebration.
Only popups with active status are shown, and the Date field marks the start: the popup begins to display after that date. You can prepare one, leave it inactive and activate it when you want.
This add-on celebrates what GamiPress has already recorded, and awarding points, achievements and ranks stays in GamiPress. Its features do not include handing out prizes of its own or sending emails.
Your first popup in GamiPress
It needs GamiPress active and at least one points type, achievement or rank defined. It is also compatible with FluentCommunity.
- Install and activate the add-on.
- Open GamiPress » Congratulations Popups and create a new one.
- Write the title and content, with the tags you need.
- Choose the condition and complete its fields.
- Set the effect, sound and colors in Popup Style & Sound Effects.
- Set the display caps, activate the popup and try the condition with a test user.

How it behaves on your site
Can I show the user's balance in the popup?
Yes, with the balance tag for that points type, formed from its slug.
Does it repeat every time the user visits?
That depends on the caps. Set Maximum Displays Per User to control it.
Can I change the confetti color?
Yes, each effect accepts its particle color. If you leave the field empty, it uses the default.
Can I have a different popup for each goal?
Yes. Each popup has its own condition, content and caps.
