About GiveWP – Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform

Raise funds on your own site without relying on someone else's platform

Many organizations start fundraising on a third-party platform: it is convenient at first, but the relationship with the donor lives in someone else's system, with its look and its rules. GiveWP takes donations on your own WordPress site, on any page, so every act of generosity stays in your hands.

What often goes unnoticed in a small nonprofit: a form that only collects money and forgets the donor misses the most valuable thing, the second donation. That is why GiveWP goes beyond the donate button: it offers a profile for each donor, automatic receipts, recurring gifts and campaigns, so you can grow from your first form to a full fundraising operation.

Forms, receipts and donor profiles in GiveWP

  • Drag-and-drop form builder with custom fields, so you ask for exactly the data you need from each donor.
  • Campaign goals: you set a target and show progress in real time to encourage others to join.
  • PDF receipts with your branding, automatic and with tributes and dedications included, so proof of impact reaches the inbox without manual work.
  • Profile per donor: every gift, form and channel in a single record, with tags, notes and segmentation to nurture the relationship and not just the transaction.
  • Covering fees: you can offer donors the option to cover payment processing costs so more money reaches your cause.

For payments, Stripe, PayPal and Square are available, plus more than 13 international gateways. Forms adapt to mobile and support Apple Pay, Google Pay and text-to-give. You can also accept donations in the donor's own currency.

Three organizations, three ways to use GiveWP

If you just need to start collecting

You can place the form on any page and add fields only when you really need them.

If you want donors to stay

With recurring donations the donor picks the frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually) or you preset it. They can update their payment method, pause or resume their subscription themselves, so you save on admin work. Renewal receipts and confirmations go out on their own, and you can track recurring revenue and each donor's value over time.

If your strength is your volunteers

Peer-to-peer fundraising lets your most committed supporters have their own campaign page, with a personal goal and buttons to share it by email and social media. You see each fundraiser's progress and total raised, can show public leaderboards and create team campaigns.

Common questions before setting up your first campaign

Which gateways can I collect with?

With Stripe, PayPal and Square, plus more than 13 international gateways.

Can a donor pause their gift without writing to me?

Yes: with recurring donations they can change their payment method, pause and resume on their own.

Does it look good on mobile?

Forms are designed for mobile and include Apple Pay, Google Pay and text-to-give.

Can I ask donors for extra information?

Yes, the builder lets you add custom fields to capture the information you need.

You need your own account with the payment gateway

GiveWP handles the form, the donor profile and the receipts, but the payment is processed by the gateway you choose, so you must have your own account with Stripe, PayPal, Square or another. Check in the demo how recurring donations and peer-to-peer campaigns behave inside your theme.

Receipts are tax-compliant, but which details your country requires for a deductible donation is something to confirm with your accountant before issuing them.
