About Google Address Autocomplete for WooCommerce – By Fluid Checkout
A badly written street is paid for by the store, not the customer
When someone types their address on a phone, they drop a number, mix up the postcode or write the street their own way. The order goes through anyway, and the parcel is delayed or comes back. The store bears that cost. This plugin targets that point: the customer starts typing, picks their address from the Google address autocomplete suggestions and the fields fill themselves in.
It works with both the shipping and the billing address.
Google Address Autocomplete is an add-on, not a checkout
Its job is specific:
- Address search: the customer types and picks a suggestion instead of filling in every field by hand.
- Automatic filling: the chosen address completes the shipping and billing fields.
Now the limit: it is a Fluid Checkout add-on and is designed to extend that checkout, not to work on its own on top of the standard WooCommerce form. Nor is it an address book: saving several addresses per customer is a different add-on from the same family.

Does it work without Fluid Checkout?
No. It is a Fluid Checkout add-on, so you need that plugin as a base.
Does it include a book with several saved addresses?
No. Another add-on, Address Book, covers that.
Is it useful if I offer in-store pickup?
In that case there is no shipping address to autocomplete: Fluid Checkout PRO can remove the shipping fields when the customer chooses pickup. Autocomplete is still useful for billing.
What Fluid Checkout already does for your addresses
Autocomplete performs better on a form that is already easy to use. Fluid Checkout validates fields instantly, automatically saves the customer's data, lets you ask for the shipping or the billing address first, and offers a multi-step or a one-step checkout. On mobile, it shows the right keyboard for each field, for example the numeric one for the phone. All of that helps the address arrive complete and correctly written.
Try it on a phone and with tricky addresses
Most of your customers will type on a small screen, so test it there. Check in the demo how it suggests addresses for apartments, unusual streets or rural areas in the countries you sell to, and make sure the shipping and billing fields fill in the way you expect. If you use in-store pickup or a different address order from the usual one, set up Fluid Checkout first and add autocomplete afterwards.
