About GreenShift - Animation and Page Builder Blocks
Building a page with eye-catching animations usually ends the same way: the design looks great, but Google's speed report fills up with warnings about scripts, stylesheets and libraries that load even when unused. GreenShift starts from that problem: it adds blocks and animations to the WordPress block editor without dragging in frameworks, icon fonts or script libraries.
The real problem with animated sites: you pay the weight even if you don't use it
The cost of a page builder isn't in what you add, but in what loads by default. GreenShift generates every asset on the fly and loads it only if you use it on that page. Styles are split into chunks, dynamic libraries don't depend on jQuery, and styles go inline in the head to avoid layout shifts and clashes with cache plugins.
A walkthrough with GreenShift: from a blank landing page to a page with motion
Step 1: start from a ready-made section
Inside the block editor you can import sections and layouts from its library, which supports full site editing (FSE). To fetch them, the plugin queries the template library on an external service, so you need a connection at that moment.
Step 2: adjust the layout
You get advanced containers, rows, flexbox and CSS grid, with visual helpers in the editor to change position, spacing, borders and size. Values can be set per resolution, with four breakpoints and a preview mode.
Step 3: add motion
- CSS scroll animations and hover transitions, without libraries.
- Backgrounds with color, gradient or video, and overlays with transitions.
- Interaction layers: triggers, conditions and actions on blocks.
- Headline effects, shape dividers, CSS transforms (including 3D) and shadow presets.
Step 4: think about mobile
You can turn columns into horizontally scrollable items or carousels on mobile, for an app-like feel. There are also slider blocks, tabs, sliding side panels, popups and a 3D (AR/VR) viewer plus a Spline3d block.
Step 5: dynamic data
With repeaters and the Meta getter block you can show values from custom fields, user meta, site options or external feeds. There are also visibility options per block.
What stays outside the base plugin
Some things belong to separate addons depending on your type of site:
- Animation addon: parallax, advanced triggers (scroll, hover, click, stagger, batch), blocks pinned during scroll, Lottie, Rive and text and SVG animations based on GSAP.
- Query addon: patterns for the Query Loop block, directory-style listings and a loop builder for custom post types.
- SEO and Marketing addon: blocks for affiliate, review and comparison sites.
- WooCommerce addon: shop blocks such as a buy now button, bundles, variation swatches and ajax search.
If your project is a shop or a directory, check which blocks you need before deciding, because they are not in the base plugin. Also, the converter that turns any web page into blocks requires the AIO plan.
If you already use another editor: blocks as shortcodes
You don't have to abandon your page builder. You can create reusable templates, and the plugin generates a shortcode to use them where Gutenberg doesn't control the content. Blocks can also be loaded lazily when they come into view or on click or hover, which helps on heavy pages.
