About Mailster - Email Newsletter Plugin for WordPress
Your mailing list is the one thing that doesn't depend on an algorithm
You publish, your social reach goes up and down, and after a while you realize you have no safe way to speak again to the people who read you. External tools fix that, but your subscribers end up living on someone else's platform. Mailster takes the opposite approach: the list, the campaigns and the statistics all live inside your own WordPress, with control over your data.
You capture subscribers with forms on your site, send your latest posts, products or custom post types, and see what happens with each campaign through reports and performance data.
Mailster depending on your situation
You run a blog or a media site
You can set up RSS campaigns or send your latest posts without copying anything by hand. A public archive of your newsletters also lets a first-time visitor read past issues before subscribing.
You run a store
Mailster is compatible with WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads. You can send your products and schedule a welcome email, a follow-up (drip) sequence or a birthday campaign so the relationship doesn't end after the first purchase.
You're coming from another email tool
You can import the data you already have, and emails can go out through the delivery provider you prefer. That way you aren't tied to a single service.
You already have popups or forms
It integrates with capture plugins such as ConvertPlus, Ninja Popups, Layered Popups, ARForms or FormCraft, and with Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms and Elementor. If you already collect emails, the usual approach is to connect them rather than rebuild them.
Segmenting and automating: what Mailster does with your list
- Advanced segmentation: you send to specific groups instead of the whole list.
- Automation and autoresponders: email automation and automatic replies.
- Dynamic tags (merge tags): you personalize content with each person's data.
- Time zone based delivery: delivery based on each subscriber's time zone.
- Templates: access to free and premium templates so you don't start from a blank email.
- Campaign precheck: a check before sending.
- Capability management: you decide which WordPress roles can touch what.
Questions to ask before installing Mailster
Do I need to pay for a separate service to send? Mailster manages the list and the campaigns, but sending is done through an email provider of your choice, and it's best to have it decided before you start.
Is it useful if I'm switching from Mailchimp or MailPoet? It lets you import the data you already have. Check in the demo how your fields end up before migrating the whole list.
Is it available in Spanish? It's available in more than 15 languages. Check in the demo that yours is included.
Is it GDPR compliant? It includes tools designed for it, but responsibility for consent and data processing remains yours.
Does it work with WPML? It's compatible with WPML, useful if your site is multilingual.
It needs hosting with SMTP and DOMDocument support
Mailster is a plugin that runs inside your WordPress, so it depends on your hosting: it needs the DOMDocument extension, fsockopen support if you send via SMTP, and enough memory. It is also an email tool, not a form builder: to capture subscribers with popups or heavily designed layouts, the usual approach is to combine it with one of the compatible plugins.
