A slider nobody swipes on mobile is dead weight
Many sliders look good on a computer and turn clumsy on a phone: the gesture doesn't respond, layers pile on top of each other or the carousel just takes up space. Master Slider Touch Layer Slider starts from a different idea: swiping should feel natural on mobile, and on desktop you should be able to drag with the mouse.
The people who install a slider are usually a shop, a blog with lots of posts or a business that wants to show video. In all three cases what matters is what you show and in what order, not the transition effect. That's why it's worth looking at the content sources this plugin supports rather than at the effects.
Layers with their own animation on every element
Each slide supports five types of layer:
- Text: with HTML, links and its own style.
- Image
- Video: embedded inside the slide.
- Button
- Hotspot
Each layer has its own style, transition, effect, duration and delay. That way the headline can come in first, the button after, and the background image stay still. It's useful, but it takes judgment: too many animated layers at once tire the visitor.

This is the most practical part. Besides the classic image slider (you drag the images onto the slides and they are added automatically), the plugin can be fed from other sources:

With its post slider templates you choose one or several categories and they are displayed automatically, without touching your existing posts.

To create a video slider you choose a template, paste the video link and you're done. It works for a business that wants to show its services or products in motion. One warning: a slider with many embedded videos can slow the page down, so use few and choose them well.
