About Max Mega Menu Pro
A shop menu with dozens of categories does not fit in a dropdown list
When a catalogue grows, the classic WordPress menu turns into cascades of submenus that force visitors to sharpen their mouse aim. Max Mega Menu Pro turns any menu item into a panel with columns and rows that can hold links, icons, widgets and even block patterns, and it works with the menu and theme you already have.
The idea behind it: the menu deserves the same care as a product page. If it is confusing, it does not matter how good the product is.
A mountain gear shop, from desktop to mobile, with Max Mega Menu Pro
Imagine an outdoor gear shop with clothing, packs and camping. This is how its menu gets built.
Step 1: turn "Camping" into a panel
You enable the mega menu on that item and drag in columns: tents, sleeping, cooking. You can add a widget or a block pattern, for example a notice with a guide or a block with a store's address and opening hours. Limit: the plugin arranges and displays, but you have to create the categories and links beforehand.
Step 2: split Men and Women with tabs
Inside a single panel, each tab has its own columns (jackets, footwear, clothing). This belongs to the Pro version, as do the vertical menu, the accordion and the sticky menu. The free version gives you columns, rows and classic dropdown menus, but no tabs.
Step 3: match the brand without touching CSS
The style editor gathers more than 100 settings: colours, fonts, spacing and animations. With per-item styling (Pro), a link like Sale can have its own colour, hover effect and width, and submenus accept background images. There is also an image swap on hover (Pro) to show a collection next to its links.
Step 4: check the mobile view carefully
The mobile menu can be off-canvas or slide-down, with a toggle bar that you design yourself. A four-column panel does not fold itself elegantly: check in the demo how your structure looks on a small screen and simplify what is left over.
Step 5: keep the cart in sight
In Pro, the total and the number of WooCommerce or EDD items appear in the menu itself, and the sticky menu stays visible as you scroll.
Does Max Mega Menu Pro fit your theme and your builder?
Does it work with my theme or page builder?
It is designed to coexist with the block editor, Elementor, Divi, Bricks, Breakdance and WooCommerce, and there are integration guides for themes such as Astra, Kadence, GeneratePress or Blocksy. If your theme's menu is heavily customised, test it in a staging environment first.
Do I have to code anything?
No. Everything is done by dragging elements and with visual settings.
What does Pro add over the free version?
Sticky, tabbed, vertical and accordion menus, Font Awesome icons and custom images, per-item styling, image swap on hover, a search box and logo in the menu, and the cart. Dashicons and Material Symbols icons are already in the free one.
Is it also useful for a blog?
Yes. A panel can show featured articles, a downloadable guide or a subscription form using block patterns.
A huge panel does not fix a messy menu
Before installing, decide what goes in each panel and what stays out. A mega menu with thirty links is as tiring as a list of thirty, only wider. Choose the routes your customer follows most and leave the rest for the category pages.
