About MotoPress Appointment Booking
The fifteen minutes between appointments
They are what almost no booking system allows for and what throws a real business's diary out. After a session the room has to be aired, the notes written up, the payment taken and the next person greeted. If the calendar offers one on the hour and the next on the hour, by eleven in the morning you are twenty minutes behind and never catching up.
MotoPress Appointment Booking lets you define that margin per service, and it is one of the things separating it from the simpler systems.
How it is organised
- Services with their price, duration and buffer between appointments, grouped by categories and tags.
- Several locations, with different hours at each, for businesses with more than one site.
- Staff with their own schedule, including lunch breaks, days off and holidays, and with different prices and durations per practitioner if needed.
- Step-by-step booking, with the option of booking several appointments in one go.
Group bookings
This is its other difference. It allows several independent customers to take the same slot, or one customer to book for several people at once.
That turns the plugin into something equally suited to a one-to-one practice and to a yoga class with twelve places, a workshop or a guided tour. With a system designed only for one-to-one appointments, the group class has to be built with workarounds.
What the paid version is needed for
Worth knowing in advance: the free version only supports payment on site. Charging in advance by card, with Stripe or PayPal, belongs to the paid version. And so does Google Calendar synchronisation for each practitioner's diary.
Those two are precisely the ones that solve the expensive problems of this kind of business: the client who does not turn up, corrected by taking a deposit, and the appointment clashing with something the practitioner had noted in their personal calendar.
It also supports per-service deposits and discount coupons, fixed or percentage.
