About PeepSo Mobile App Integration Addon
A WordPress community your members never open from their phones
Setting up a community with profiles, groups and chat is the easy part. The hard part is getting people to come back, and they will usually come back from their phones, not by opening a browser and typing your address. If the community only lives on a website, every visit depends on an effort your members will not always make.
PeepSo Mobile App Integration Addon is the piece that connects your PeepSo community to a mobile app for iOS and Android. It does not replace PeepSo: it is an add-on that only makes sense if you already have the community set up.
Three ways to bring PeepSo to mobile depending on what you want to achieve
You want to try it without complications
Members open the shared Universo app on iOS or Android, type in your community's address and sign in with their usual account. The free option, PeepSo App Lite, includes automatic navigation and ads, but no push notifications.
You want more control over the experience
PeepSo App Plus is a paid upgrade to the same shared app: it removes ads, adds push notifications and lets you customize the navigation. Neither Lite nor Plus requires developer accounts in the app stores.
You want your name and icon in the store
PeepSo App Service is a separate service: your own app for iOS and Android with your brand, where PeepSo handles creation, submission to the stores and maintenance. App-specific requirements and purchase restrictions apply.
What the member sees when opening the app
The app gives access to the community you already have, and that includes PeepSo's social features, such as:
- Activity with comments, reactions and polls.
- Profiles, friends and interest groups.
- Private messages and real-time chat.
- Onsite and email notifications.
This is what the community itself offers. It is worth testing your own active features in the demo before promising it to your people.
No push, no reminder: the limit of the free version
The main reason to have an app is for the phone to alert members when someone replies to them. With App Lite that does not happen: there are no push notifications. To get them you need App Plus or your own app. Also, Lite shows ads and uses the shared Universo app identity, so your brand does not appear in the store.
And remember that this add-on does not work on its own: it requires a PeepSo community.
Frequently asked questions
Do my members have to create another account?
No. They sign in with the account they already have in your community, entering your site's address.
Do I need Apple and Google developer accounts?
Not with App Lite or App Plus, because they use the shared app. If you want your own app, PeepSo handles creation, submission and maintenance through the separate service.
Can I get push notifications for free?
No. They are added with App Plus.
Can I customize the icon and name?
Only with the own app from PeepSo App Service. Lite and Plus use the shared Universo identity.
Does it work with any PeepSo community?
The free app is intended for licensed PeepSo communities, including the free bundle. Check in the demo how your specific features behave.
