About Piotnet Bricks

Bricks gives you a solid base, but clients ask for the same extras

You build a site in Bricks Builder and halfway through the project the client wants a slider, some tabs, an index on long articles or a button that reacts on hover. Every extra that Bricks does not include ends up as hours of custom CSS or one more plugin to keep an eye on. Whoever sells websites charges per project, not per hour of tweaks, and that is where margin quietly disappears.

Piotnet Bricks is a plugin of extra elements and features for Bricks Builder. It gathers in one place pieces you would otherwise add one by one, and it adds tools for forms.

Element Creator: build your own Bricks elements

The most distinctive feature is Element Creator: it lets you build your own elements (widgets) for Bricks with very little coding knowledge. It makes sense if you repeat the same block across several projects and prefer to have it as a reusable element instead of rebuilding it each time. Assembling the components with their rules takes practice, so test it before using it for the first time on a client's site.

The other key tool is Conditional Visibility: it controls when each component of the site is shown and also applies to elements from other plugins for Bricks.

Bricks forms with calculations, conditions and abandonment

If you work with the native Bricks form, Piotnet Bricks adds these layers:

  • Conditional logic: decide which fields or parts of the form are visible depending on what the visitor answers.
  • Calculation: work with the numbers submitted in the fields, for example in a form that adds up amounts.
  • Abandoned forms: the administrator can store the information left half-filled, and the visitor can pick up and complete the rest.
  • Range Slider: a slider field for choosing a value or a range.

Visual elements so the page responds to the visitor

The rest of the plugin is ready-to-drag elements that save you from animating by hand with CSS:

  • Interactive content: Advanced Tabs, Switch Content, Hotspot, Tooltip and an image comparison in horizontal or vertical orientation.
  • Navigation: Table of Contents to jump between parts of a long page and a Scroll To Top button.
  • Showcases: a responsive Flex Slider, a Marquee Logo Wall with horizontal or vertical scrolling and a Crossfade of several background images.
  • Buttons and cards: Flip Button, Glowing Button, button animations and 3D Flip Card.
  • Motion and social: Scroll Animations and Instagram Feed.

Use them in moderation: a page full of effects distracts more than it sells.

It only works on Bricks and does not replace the base form

  • Already solved: extra elements, Element Creator, conditional visibility and the logic, calculation and abandonment layers for forms.
  • You need Bricks Builder: it is an add-on, it does not work on its own or with other builders.
  • The base form comes from Bricks: Piotnet Bricks builds on it and does not replace it.
  • Design and content are up to you: the elements give you the piece, but you build the structure of the page.
  • Possible conflicts: it usually works well with other well-built plugins, but it is best to test it first in a staging environment.
