An outdated catalog costs more than the time it takes to fix it
Changing a sale price on dozens of products, moving a whole category or fixing a SKU across a family of variations usually means opening product after product, page after page. In practice, that means it doesn't get done: expired sales stay up, prices don't get adjusted and the stock lies.
In an online store the catalog is the shop window and the till at the same time: a price mistake is paid for on every sale. That's why many people avoid touching anything in bulk. PW WooCommerce Bulk Edit Pro targets exactly that fear: you see the changes before saving them and you can undo them.

You filter the products, they appear in a table and each cell is edited directly, with keyboard navigation. If you click a column header, the change is applied to the whole column. Nothing reaches the database until you click save, and in the meantime you have undo and redo.
- Prices: raise or lower by a fixed amount or a percentage, with rounding precision, revert a percentage increase and calculate the sale price from the regular price. Price drops are highlighted in red.
- Text: search and replace, prepend or append, change capitalization, wildcards and regular expressions.
- Variations: they are edited as fast as simple products, new ones can be created automatically and you can filter by your own attributes, for example Color.
- Product fields: stock, taxes, shipping, images and galleries, categories, tags, sale dates, external or affiliate products, downloadables, cross-sells and up-sells. You can also bulk delete products and variations.
- Filters: by name, type, category, SKU, GTIN/UPC/EAN/ISBN, stock status, shipping class and more, with options such as «Is Empty» and «Is Not Empty». You save them to reuse them and you can export the results to CSV.
One limit worth knowing: each search returns 1,000 rows at most, so with large catalogs you work in batches by refining the filters. Also, fields from other plugins only appear if that plugin is installed; if you are missing one, you can add it as a custom field.
Before applying a change to thousands of products
Can I make a mistake without consequences?
Before saving, yes: you see what you are about to change and you can undo and redo. Once saved, the change is already in the database, so make a backup before a large operation.
Does it work for stores with lots of variations?
Yes. You can edit variations one by one or in bulk, create new variations, adjust the attributes of variable products and change their default values.
Is it compatible with High Performance Order Storage?
Yes, it is compatible with WooCommerce HPOS.
Can I try it first?
There is a free version with limited features, found as Pimwick in the plugin directory. Many of the features in this listing, such as regular expressions or gallery editing, belong to the Pro version.
Dokan, YITH, Flatsome, WPML and other plugins in the same grid
If your store already depends on other plugins, their fields can be edited from the same table, as long as they are installed:
- Marketplaces: Dokan, YITH Multi Vendor and MultiVendorX; the vendor filter appears with Dokan or YITH Multi Vendor.
- Brands, prices and currency: WooCommerce Brands, YITH Brands, Aelia Currency Switcher (regular and sale price in each currency) and wholesale or role-based pricing plugins.
- SEO and feeds: Yoast SEO, the GTIN field of Rank Math and several product feed plugins.
- Others: the Extra fields of the Flatsome theme, WPML (to filter products by language), WooCommerce Subscriptions and ATUM.
Searches return 1,000 rows at most
The workflow is simple: you open PW Bulk Edit from the Pimwick Plugins menu, add filters, click Search, edit cells or whole columns, review and save. The most practical approach is to split the work by category, product type or stock status, so each batch stays under the limit.
If a PHP memory exhausted error appears when returning a lot of data, add more filters to reduce the results or ask your hosting provider to raise the allowed memory.
