About SecondLine – Tusant WordPress Theme
Your listeners hear you in other apps, but your website is the only thing that is yours
Publishing a podcast often ends like this: the episodes live on the host, the listeners on Spotify or Apple, and your website is a blog post with a player pasted in and no order. When someone searches for your show on Google, they find that page, and it is the only one you can design your own way.
Tusant is a theme built for podcasts, music and video. It treats episodes and shows as content of their own, not as disguised blog posts, and it does not limit how many you can create. It works with the usual podcasting plugins (Seriously Simple Podcasting, PowerPress, Simple Podcast Press, PodLove, Smart Podcast Player, Buzzsprout, Libsyn) and with hosts such as Libsyn, Castos, Transistor, Spreaker or PodBean, so you can change host without rebuilding your site.
How to display episodes in Tusant: from list to carousel
The first thing a podcast site decides is what a new visitor sees. The theme offers these options:
- Masonry grid for shows.
- One-column episode list.
- Grid of 2 to 6 columns.
- Show carousel and a featured slider for shows and episodes.
- Filtering by podcast and show categories.
- Numbered pagination, a load more button or infinite scroll.
A network with several programs can give each show its own space; a podcast with few episodes can stick with a clean list.
Podcaster, band or vlog: three uses of the same theme
If you already have a podcast host
You use your service's plugin or embed its player, and the episodes show up on your site in the design you choose. If you change host tomorrow, the site stays up.
If you host your own MP3 files
The theme accepts local or external MP3 files, so you can publish without a podcast hosting service. Just make sure your hosting can handle the downloads if you expect many listeners.
If you are a musician or band
You can build band pages, albums and audio playlists, and show embedded content from SoundCloud or MixCloud directly in posts and pages.
If you make video or voice work
YouTube or Vimeo videos and playlists are displayed prominently. It suits a vlog series, a video channel or a voice talent's portfolio.
Elementor, colors and fonts so your site does not look like someone else's demo
Tusant relies on the Elementor page builder and includes its own add-ons and templates. The free version of Elementor is enough to get started; Pro is not essential. With it you can adjust the content query, turn design elements on or off and create your own footer from the same editor.
Customization is done with the WordPress Customizer: a full color scheme and over 900 Google Fonts. A setup wizard imports the demo content, and the theme comes with podcast subscribe buttons so you can share your links from the start. It is also responsive, ready to be translated with your favorite plugin, supports RTL writing, works with the block editor and is compatible with WooCommerce.
Common questions before choosing Tusant
Do I need Elementor Pro? It is not essential: the theme relies on Elementor, and the free version lets you work with its add-ons and templates.
Can I use it without a podcast host? Yes, with MP3 files hosted on your site or linked from elsewhere.
Is it good for selling merchandise or tickets? It is compatible with WooCommerce, so you can set up a shop next to your podcast.
Can I have it in another language? It is ready to be translated with a translation plugin and supports right-to-left languages.
It shows your podcast, but it does not distribute it on its own
Tusant is a theme: it presents episodes, players and videos, but it is not a hosting service and it does not list you in directories such as Spotify or Apple. That part depends on the podcasting plugin or the host you use. And if you do not want to work with Elementor, its add-ons and templates will be of no use to you. Check in the demo how your catalog would look before deciding.
