About Shop as a Customer for WooCommerce
Phone and email orders that end up entered wrongly
When a customer calls to place an order, someone on the team ends up creating it by hand in the admin: copying the address, searching for the product, calculating shipping and hoping nothing goes wrong. The order comes out different from what the customer would have seen in the store, with other prices, other taxes or wrong shipping. Shop as a Customer for WooCommerce solves this in a direct way: you enter the store as that customer and buy just as they would.
That is the underlying idea: anyone who sells by phone, by email or in person does not have an orders problem, they have a fidelity problem.
Switch to a customer, to a guest or back to admin
From the admin you pick a customer from the list, or a user of another role, and start browsing the store as them. You can also buy as a guest. To return, you click the back button in the top bar and recover your administrator role.
Before jumping into their account you can look at their profile and order history, so you know what they bought before.
Finding the customer and controlling who can impersonate them
- Search: by name, email, address, company name or phone.
- Login history: the plugin records the accounts that have been accessed. You can view it, export it and contact the customer through WhatsApp. It is also compatible with Order on WhatsApp.
- Authorized roles: you decide which roles can shop as a customer. It is compatible with the user role editor.
- Offline payment: when ordering on the customer's behalf you can use an offline method, intended for cash or manual transactions.
- Invoice from the thank-you page: you send the customer the details of the order you placed for them.
One limit to keep in mind: the plugin does not charge cards remotely for you or handle calls or messages. It only makes the order get created from the customer's account. If you need to take payment at that moment, you will have to use a payment method you already have configured, or an offline one and collect separately. It is also an administration tool: it adds nothing the customer sees on their own account.

Yes, you choose the customer from the backend list, whether registered or guest.
Can access be given to only part of the team?
Yes, you limit the feature to the user roles you specify.
How do I get back to my admin account?
With the back button in the top bar.
Does it work with HPOS and multisite?
Yes, it is compatible with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) and with multisite.
Will it work with my theme and page builder?
It is compatible with Storefront, Avada, Flatsome, Woodmart, Divi and the default WooCommerce theme, plus Elementor and Bakery. Even so, test the user switch in your own environment before using it with real customers.
Test the user switch with a test account before using it for real
This plugin needs WooCommerce. Before using it with real orders, create a test customer and place a complete order: switch to their account, add products, check that the prices, taxes and shipping are what they will see, choose offline payment and send the invoice from the thank-you page. Then go back to admin and check that the order appears under the right name.
Also define from the start which roles will have permission. Accessing a customer's account is a sensitive capability, and the login history should be reviewed by someone responsible.
