A customer looks at a product, decides to buy it, and the store sends them to another page to log in or register. That detour seems small, but it is where the purchase loses its thread. It is also what gets checked least: the default WooCommerce login form is left as it comes and assumed to be fine.
Social Login for WooCommerce replaces that access with modern, customizable forms, shown in a popup, a slider or built into the page itself, without reloading it.

The core of the plugin is the login and registration form. What makes it useful is that it works without the customer leaving the page they are on:

The store that gets junk registrations
An open registration form attracts bots. The security module adds reCAPTCHA (v2 or v3), Turnstile or Friendly Captcha, a password strength meter and a login attempt limit. If you prefer to filter by hand, the verification module blocks the account until the user confirms with a code or a link, or until you approve it from the admin panel.
The store that needs more customer data
With custom registration fields you can ask for extra information, show it on the profile and on My Account, and even combine it with the WooCommerce billing and shipping fields. If you also want complete, accurate addresses, the autocomplete module uses Google Places, but it depends on the custom fields. So customers can edit their details with a modern design, the Profile Builder module displays them through a shortcode.

Which networks can people log in with? With the social module: Facebook, Google, Apple, LinkedIn, Microsoft, LINE and X (Twitter).
Can people log in without a password? Yes, with the OTP module: codes sent by SMS, WhatsApp or email. That same module adds two-factor authentication (2FA).
Can I approve new registrations myself? Yes, with the verification module: you can review and approve accounts manually from the admin panel.
Social login, OTP and security are separate modules
The base plugin brings the forms, Ajax, the two designs and password recovery. Social login, anti-bot security, the profile builder, OTP with 2FA, user verification, registration fields and address autocomplete are add-ons that are acquired separately. If what you mainly want is the Google or Facebook button, you need the social module in addition to the base.
