A minimalist design leaves your photos with nothing in front of them
In a shop full of banners and colors, a weak photo goes unnoticed. Once you take all that away, the photo stands alone on the screen, and a different shadow or a background that changes from one product to the next shows at once. Choosing a minimalist theme also means accepting a photography job.
Supro, by DrFuri, is a minimalist WooCommerce theme built around that material. The product page takes a featured video and a lightbox gallery, variations can appear as color, label or image swatches, and the shop can include Instagram Shop with product photos. All of that shines with images that match each other. Prepare the catalog with the same framing and the same background before judging the theme with your products.
Buying without the page reloading
- AJAX filter: filters products, for example by size or color, without a page reload.
- AJAX cart: adding and removing products works that way too.
- Live search: built in, and it also finds products by SKU.
- Quick view: opens the product without leaving the listing.
- Color, label and image swatches: for choosing the variation.
- Order tracking: a system built into the theme.
Fifteen home pages and shop grids with no cap
It comes with 15 predefined home pages, 6 headers, 3 footers and unlimited shop layouts, with one-click demo import. The header can stay sticky, and there is a mega menu, a boxed layout, several blog designs and live options. It includes WPBakery Page Builder and a child theme, so your code changes can stay apart from the theme.
It works for simple and variable products, digital or downloadable ones, and external or affiliate ones, with the categories, coupons, reviews, taxes, shipping and reports that come with WooCommerce.
Which plugins it works with and what it does not solve
- Builder: the included one is WPBakery. If your team works with another, weigh that first.
- Wishlist and compare: the wishlist is optional and compatible with YITH WooCommerce Wishlist and WCBoost Wishlist. Compare goes through WCBoost Products Compare.
- Languages and currencies: compatible with WPML and WooCommerce Currency Switcher, translation ready and with right-to-left support.
- Email and forms: compatible with MailChimp for WordPress and Contact Form 7.
A theme defines how the shop looks, not how the business is run: its features do not include wholesale pricing or bookings. Nor do the photos come solved: the demo ones show the result you are after, and yours will have to live up to it.
First setup with WooCommerce and WPBakery
It needs WordPress with WooCommerce. To avoid mixing real content with the sample content, it pays to follow this order:
- Install the theme and activate it on a copy of the site, with the child theme if you will touch code.
- Pick one of the 15 home pages.
- Import the demo with one click.
- Replace the sample images with your photos and check how they look on mobile.
- Set up filters and swatches with your products' real attributes.
- Place a test order, tracking included.
Savoy and Sober, for comparison
Savoy is also minimalist and AJAX, with AJAX shop browsing and search, quick view and a wishlist. It is the one to look at if you prefer Elementor, because it supports it and leaves WPBakery as an option.
Sober comes with 16 predefined home pages, 6 headers and 5 product layouts, with WPBakery and Revolution Slider. It is worth a look if you want several product layouts.
