About Tickera CSV Export
The attendee list nobody else can open
You run the event from WordPress, but the people who need the data almost never log in to your dashboard: the caterer wants to know how many special meals there are, the venue asks for seats and the accountant wants the orders. Copying screen by screen ends in mistakes and lost hours just when the event is around the corner.
Tickets are sold inside WordPress, but they are used outside it. Tickera CSV Export is a Tickera add-on that turns attendees, orders, tickets and form answers into CSV files, so each supplier can work in the tool they already have.
Tickera CSV Export step by step: from the order to the caterer's inbox
Imagine a conference with several ticket types and a form where you ask for t-shirt size and food preferences. This is what the process would look like.
Step 1, you choose what goes out. On the add-on screen you tick the columns you want: name, email, ticket type, seat, form answers. Whatever you don't tick stays out of the file, so you don't send the caterer emails they don't need.
Step 2, you click Export. The file downloads in your browser. There's nobody to ask and no third party involved.
Step 3, you open it where you work. It's a standard CSV, UTF-8 encoded and comma-separated: Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets, LibreOffice, Airtable or Notion can read it.
Step 4, you forward it. The caterer gets the food preferences, the venue gets the seats and your accountant gets the orders to import into their software.
One limit to keep in mind: the result is a flat file, with no charts or reports. You do the analysis yourself in the spreadsheet. And the add-on doesn't work on its own: it needs Tickera installed.
Questions about Excel, Quickbooks and personal data
Which programs open it? Any that read CSV: spreadsheets, Airtable, Notion and accounting software such as Quickbooks or Xero.
Can I export without personal data? Yes, you decide the columns: if you leave out email and address, the file comes out without them. The file stays on your computer, not on a third-party server. Which data you can process and share with each supplier depends on the data protection rules that apply to you, and that is up to you.
Do Custom Forms answers come out? Yes, every field you have defined appears as a column with each attendee's answer.
Does it work if I sell with WooCommerce? Yes, it is compatible with Bridge for WooCommerce, both with Tickera on its own and when selling from your WooCommerce store.
Which column suits each supplier
The add-on exports six kinds of information. Thinking about who receives the file, here is how you can organize it:
- Accounting: order ID, date, total, payment gateway, buyer name and billing email, useful for bookkeeping, refunds and audits.
- Catering and logistics: name, ticket type and answers such as diet, size or accessibility needs.
- Venue or entry: name, ticket type and seat number.
- Marketing or follow-up: name and email, only if you will really use them.
It needs Tickera, and Custom Forms for the extra answers
It is an add-on: without Tickera there is nothing to export. The columns with sizes, diets or accessibility only exist if you use Custom Forms and ask for that data at purchase.
If you sell with WooCommerce, check that your setup uses Bridge for WooCommerce, which is what the add-on is compatible with.
