About Tickera (Premium)
When every ticket you sell is no longer entirely yours
Putting on an event already costs a lot: venue, artists, sound, permits. If you also sell tickets on someone else's platform, part of every sale disappears along the way and the buyer list lives in a dashboard you don't control. Tickera (Premium) takes the opposite approach: you sell from your own WordPress site, the buyer pays directly into your gateway account and the plugin charges no per-ticket commission.
The most valuable asset of an event is not the night's takings, but the list of people who came. Those are the people who will buy the next edition. With Tickera that list (names, emails, ticket type, access logs) sits on your server and you can export it as CSV whenever you want.
Tickera (Premium) at a festival, a choir or a convention
If you sell numbered seats
The seating chart add-on lets you draw the venue (theater, stadium, comedy club, gala) and sell specific seats alongside general admission areas within the same event. Buyers pick their spot on an interactive map and you can set prices by section. It is a specific add-on, not a feature of the base plugin.
If you are a small organization
A choir, an association or a nonprofit that sells tickets a couple of times a year needs to stop printing paper and taking cash at the door. Here you design PDF tickets and check the attendee list with a QR code, without relying on an intermediary platform.
If you build event websites for clients
You hand over a ticketing system hosted on the client's own domain, with unlimited events and ticket types and custom fields for whatever data their team needs at check-in. The data stays on the client's site, not in an account of yours.
From a created event to a scanned QR at the door
- Tickets your way: types such as VIP, early bird, group or complimentary, custom fields at purchase, categories, recurring events and season passes.
- Direct payment: 19 built-in gateways, including Stripe, PayPal, Authorize.net, Braintree, 2Checkout and PayU, plus a bridge to use any WooCommerce payment method. It includes tax handling, coupons and discounts.
- Access control: the Checkinera apps (iOS, Android and web) scan the codes, work offline and allow several scanners at once, which sync when the signal returns.
- Data dashboard: sales by event, ticket type, time and geography, with CSV export for accounting, your CRM or your email tool.
Having the data on your server gives you control over it, but how you handle it and what notices you show your buyers is still up to you.
Common questions before selling with Tickera
Do I need WooCommerce?
Not necessarily: the plugin comes with its own built-in gateways. If you already have a WooCommerce store, there is a bridge to sell tickets with its payment methods.
What if the venue has no signal?
The access app has an offline mode and scanners sync when the signal comes back. It is wise to load the attendee list before opening the doors.
Can I take the buyer list with me?
Yes, it exports as CSV and you can segment by ticket type, event or date.
Does it work for events with assigned seats?
Yes, with the seating chart add-on, which also lets you mix reserved areas with general admission.
The payment gateway still takes its fee
Tickera charging no commission does not mean selling is free: Stripe, PayPal and the other gateways apply their own rates, and you pay those. Also, when you sell from your own site there is no events marketplace bringing you an audience: you generate the visits with your own promotion. And if your hosting goes down the day tickets go on sale, that is your problem, so size your server properly.
