About Tristero – Tattoo WordPress Theme

Nobody gets tattooed by a shop: they get tattooed by a hand

A tattoo lasts decades, and someone looking for a studio does not compare chairs or opening hours: they compare linework. They want to know who does fine line, who has mastered realism, whose style convinces them. And many studio sites answer with one shared gallery, where all the work is mixed together without saying whose is whose.

In tattooing people choose a person, not a shop, and the site should lead to that person. That is why, when looking at Tristero, the most useful thing is not the dark aesthetic but what it brings for showing the portfolio and the team.

Tristero, by Edge-Themes, is a theme for tattoo studios and artists with six home pages, among them one centered on the portfolio and another on the team. It works both for a studio with several artists and for someone working alone: the difference lies in which home page you choose as the front door.

Six home pages, in dark and in light

  • Home pages: Main Home, Portfolio Metro, Tattoo Studio, Grid Home, Vertical Showcase and Team Showcase.
  • Dark and light variants of all the demo templates, with one-click import.
  • Inner pages: about, vCard, contact, team and pricing plans.
  • Seven header types, mega menu, side area and integrated search.
  • Customizable footer with one to four columns.
  • Shop compatible with WooCommerce, in three, four or five columns.
  • Child theme included and Slider Revolution included.

The portfolio, which is where the decision happens

Portfolio listings come in standard, gallery, joined gallery, slider and masonry styles, from two to six columns. Each project can be presented with a big or small gallery, big or small images, masonry or a slider.

Portfolio Metro displays a gallery with room for photos of different sizes, which is useful when a full sleeve sits next to a small piece. For visitors to reach the artist, it pays to plan from the start how you will group each person's work, and to try it on the demo before loading the whole archive.

The team, client, testimonial and Instagram lists, along with the pricing table, are built with their own shortcodes.

What you will need to add yourself

Among its features there are no appointment bookings. No calendar, no artist selection, no deposit payment. It is compatible with Contact Form 7, so contact can be handled with a form; a real schedule needs another plugin.

The shop is WooCommerce. Tristero supplies the design and several product shortcodes. Selling calls for setting up WooCommerce as in any other shop.

Setting up your studio in Tristero

It is compatible with Elementor, WooCommerce, WPML and Contact Form 7, and it is translation ready. To begin:

  1. Install the theme and, if you plan to customize it deeply, activate the child theme.
  2. Import the demo that most resembles your studio and choose the dark or light variant.
  3. Replace the photos with your work and add each artist to the team list.
  4. Add opening hours and contact details, and connect your appointment system if you use one.
  5. Check the home page and the galleries on a phone.

Bookings, barbershops and visual editing

For appointments, BookingPress lets the customer choose service, professional, day and time in a single flow, and Amelia organizes services, categories and extras with their own price and duration.

If your business is closer to a barbershop, the catalog includes Jericho. To extend visual page editing, Elementor Pro.

What a studio asks before choosing it

Can an independent artist use it?

Can clients book appointments from the site?

Among its features there are no bookings. Add an appointment plugin or use a contact form.

Can I sell products?

Does it work for a multilingual site?

It is compatible with WPML and translation ready.

How is it edited?

It is compatible with Elementor and adds its own shortcodes for its listings.
