About WooCommerce Product Documents
A customer who hesitates before buying rarely asks: they go looking for the manual, the spec sheet or a video in another tab, and often never come back. If your product documents live in a loose PDF, an email or a piece of paper that gets lost, you are putting that tab right in the middle of the sale.

From the product to the documents menu, step by step with WooCommerce Product Documents
Imagine you sell a bookcase that is assembled at home. Here is how you would solve it:
- Step 1, create the menu. In the Product Data tab of the product you add the sections you need (assembly, dimensions, warranty). You can have as many tabs and files as you want.
- Step 2, upload the files. Any file type is accepted, and the customer sees them in a dropdown accordion-style menu. You can rename each tab and each file so the ugly original PDF name does not show.
- Step 3, link what is not yours. If the assembly video is on YouTube or the spec sheet is on the manufacturer's site, instead of uploading a file you add the URL.
- Step 4, choose where it shows. By default the menu appears below the short description. You can also show it in the sidebar with the widget (which displays the documents of the product being viewed) or anywhere a shortcode works.
- Step 5, reuse it. If several products share a manual, you paste the advanced shortcode on each page. With the same shortcode you can show a product's documentation in a blog post or another page.

Can I put it in its own tab on the product page?
Yes, through the shortcode. For that, WooCommerce Tab Manager is recommended, which is a separate plugin you would need on top of this one.
Does it work for ebook samples or example photos?
Yes: since it accepts any file type, you can offer sample chapters, images or anything else you want customers to browse before buying.
Is there a general list of all documents?
Yes, a shortcode displays the list of all attached documents on the site, grouped by product. Handy for a downloads or help page.
Does it work without WooCommerce?
No. It is a WooCommerce extension and documents are managed from each product's edit screen.
What to know before relying on it
It is a document organizer and viewer: it does not write the manuals for you or convert them to another format. The quality of what the customer finds depends on what you upload. Nor does it turn documents into paid downloads or restrict them to specific customers: it is informational material meant to be seen by anyone before buying.
A practical advantage: if you currently print manuals and warranties on paper, you can centralize them on the website and, for example, include a card in the package pointing to the product page. Check in the demo how the accordion looks with your theme before deciding.
