Typing every record by hand is what kills a book catalog
Building a book gallery looks like a design job, but the real work comes later: title, author, synopsis, cover, publisher, book after book. Many libraries and affiliate showcases stall right there. WordPress Books Gallery tackles that bottleneck with an ISBN importer.
You enter one or several ISBN-10 numbers separated by commas and the plugin queries Google Books to fill in title, author, description, cover, publisher and other metadata. It also supports Open Library as a source. Every imported book also gets structured book data, aimed at Google rich results.

Books Gallery and its up to 15 buy buttons per book
People buying a book usually already have a bookshop they trust: some prefer Amazon, others the neighborhood bookstore, others look for a particular format or country. A single buy button forces them to choose for you and sales are lost. Here each book supports up to 15 sale or affiliate links, and each button carries the text you choose.
You can combine Amazon, other stores, a local bookshop and your own store on the same record, for example one button per format (print, eBook, audio). If you work with Amazon Associates, you enter your affiliate tag once and it is added to the links across the whole site. You don't need a separate affiliate plugin.
A showcase that adapts to your site and a panel for authors
The gallery is placed with a shortcode on any page or post. There are grid view, list view, featured books and minimal grid, all mobile-friendly, with colors, fonts and styles you can customize without touching code.
- Author panel with photo, bio and all of their books, useful for publishers and collective sites.
- Books organized by category and by author, so visitors can find them by genre.
- WooCommerce integration to sell physical books and digital downloads.
- Payments, shipping and taxes are handled by WooCommerce with its own gateways; the plugin does not replace that setup.

Affiliate showcase or your own bookstore? Decide before you install
Books Gallery serves two different businesses and it helps to know which one is yours. If you recommend books, the commission is paid by the affiliate programs, which you have to sign up for yourself. If you sell, you need WooCommerce installed and your store configured.
Do I need WooCommerce?
To sell directly from your site, yes: that is the plugin's route for sales. To show books and link to other stores, the links come built in.
Can I import books that have no ISBN?
The automatic importer starts from ISBN-10 numbers. If a book doesn't have one, plan on filling in its record by hand.
Does it work for a library or a catalog with no sales?
Yes. You can display books with their record, author and categories without selling anything or adding buy links.
Is it a marketplace where other authors sell their books?
No. The author panel is a showcase of profiles and books; sales go through your store or the links you add.
