When the customer clicks «Add to cart» and can't tell if anything happened
In many WooCommerce stores, after the button is pressed only a tiny number in the header changes, or a line of text appears at the top that nobody sees. The outcome is predictable: the customer hesitates, clicks twice, or has no idea what to do next and leaves. And that is exactly the moment when they are most determined to buy, the one most stores waste.
WPC Added To Cart Notification shows a popup every time a product is added, whether from the product page or from the shop or archive pages. It confirms what has just gone into the cart and offers the customer the next step: view the cart, go to checkout or keep browsing.
Popup or Notiny: how much room the notice takes up in your store
There are two modes: a full popup or Notiny, a simple and discreet notification. The popup can be vertical or horizontal, and its entrance supports several effects:
- Fade, 3D unfold, zoom in, zoom out, newspaper, horizontal move, entrance from the top and slide from the bottom.
You decide what is shown: the product image, the cart total and item count, the View Cart, Checkout and Continue Shopping buttons (with an editable destination link) and the loading indicator while the product is being added. The product name can link to its page in the same tab or a new one, or open the quick view. With the timer, the notice closes by itself and doesn't get in the way of someone who keeps browsing. It also supports RTL sites and is compatible with WPML.
Fly Cart, Free Shipping Bar and company: what WPC Added To Cart Notification adds
The plugin integrates with other plugins from the WPClever family, and each piece answers a specific commercial need:
- WPC Fly Cart: shows the mini cart together with the notice. Its instant checkout, which skips the cart, is a feature of the Premium version of Fly Cart.
- WPC Free Shipping Bar: encourages customers to increase their order to get free shipping.
- WPC Countdown Timer: shows the countdown of specific products to create urgency.
- WPC AJAX Add to Cart: makes loading smoother if your store adds products with AJAX.
- WPC Smart Messages: promotional messages with a countdown.
- WPC Share Cart: a button to share the list of added products on social media.
These are separate plugins: the notice only displays them, it doesn't include them. If you don't install them, those options have nothing to show.
Is the free version enough, or do you need the product suggestions?
What can help you sell the most is in the Premium version: suggesting products inside the popup, such as related products (from the same categories or tags), cross-sells and upsells (the ones you have linked on each product) and items from the customer's wishlist or compare list, if you use WPC Smart Wishlist and WPC Smart Compare. Premium also includes adapting the notice to your site's design. If you only want to confirm the purchase and guide the customer, the free version may be enough; if you want to use that moment to sell something more, you need Premium.
Does it only work from the product page?
No: the notice also appears when the product is added from the shop or from archive pages.
Can it annoy people who keep browsing?
You can choose Notiny mode, which is more discreet, and set a timer so it closes by itself.
Do I need to install the other WPClever plugins?
Not for the basic notice. You do if you want to show the free shipping bar, the countdown, the share cart button or the wishlist and compare lists.
Does it work for a multilingual store?
It is compatible with WPML, so you can use it on sites with several languages.
