About AffiliateWP - Tickera Integration
The link is one, and the rate is decided separately
Whoever promotes your tickets shares one link in their newsletter and on their social networks. That same person may bring an audience to a big festival or to a small workshop, and for you they are not worth the same. You need one link that works for everything and a rate that is not the same for everything.
In this integration the affiliate's link serves all your events, and the commission is set separately, per campaign or globally.
Tickera AffiliateWP Integration connects Tickera with AffiliateWP. Visitors can register as affiliates from your own site and each one gets a dashboard, a referral link and their stats. Every affiliate has a unique URL, and when a ticket is sold through it the commission is logged automatically. There are no coupon codes to manage.
How each commission is registered and calculated
- Affiliate sign-up: visitors join directly on your site.
- Unique link: each affiliate has their own, and a single link can generate sales across all events.
- Automatic logging: the commission is recorded when a ticket sells through that link, within the cookie window.
- Per-campaign or global rate: with AffiliateWP campaigns, each event can have its own rate.
- Per-affiliate reports: visits, conversions, earnings and top-performing links.
- Data in your WordPress: affiliate information lives on your site and not in an external dashboard.
Payouts, refunds and commission reversals are handled with AffiliateWP's tools. CSV export requires a separate CSV export add-on.
A different commission for the main event and the small ones
Imagine you run an annual festival and several workshops during the year. You could create a campaign for the festival with a higher rate and another for the workshops with a lower one. On their dashboard, each affiliate sees their visits, conversions and earnings. It is just one way to set it up; change it to suit your case.
Dependencies and what stays outside
The integration needs Tickera and also AffiliateWP, which is a separate plugin and must be installed. WooCommerce is not required: it works with Tickera as it is. If you sell tickets through WooCommerce with the Tickera Bridge for WooCommerce add-on, that case is covered by AffiliateWP's native WooCommerce integration.
The cookie window is AffiliateWP's: a purchase counts if it happens inside it.
Getting started
You need a site with Tickera and AffiliateWP installed. Then:
- Install and activate the integration.
- Open the AffiliateWP settings and set the global commission rate.
