About Blocksy Companion Pro
The companion plugin that opens up Blocksy's premium features
Blocksy splits its functionality the way many serious themes do: the theme handles design and a companion plugin supplies the features. Blocksy Companion Pro is that plugin, and without it the theme's premium options simply do not appear in the dashboard.
The reason for that split is not commercial, it is technical. Features living in a plugin survive a change of theme; features inside the theme leave with it. It is correct WordPress practice, even if it has the side effect of needing two installs instead of one.

What to be clear about first
This plugin **does not work on its own**. It requires Blocksy installed and activated, because what it does is extend it. With any other theme it contributes nothing, and not in the sense of working partially: there is simply nothing for it to act on.
Put the other way round: if you already run Blocksy and have hit the ceiling of the free version, this is what raises it without forcing you to change theme and rebuild the site.
Who it makes sense for
Sites already built on Blocksy that need more control over design, more available integrations, or features the free theme does not include. It is a continuity purchase rather than a starting one: you make it when the project is already running and has outgrown what it had.
