About BookingPress Invoice Addon
Invoicing by hand between appointments
When someone books an appointment, they expect a receipt. If you prepare it by hand, you end up copying name, service and date into a separate document, with the risk of making a mistake each time or forgetting one. BookingPress Invoice Addon automates that step inside the booking system itself.
The hard part isn't writing the invoice, but keeping it consistent across all bookings. A fixed template solves exactly that: the presentation doesn't change depending on the day or on who prepares it.
A template with tags that fills itself in
The template is designed in a text editor inside BookingPress. There you write the content of the invoice and add tags that are replaced by the booking and customer data. That way every document carries the information you decide to include, with no edits afterwards.

- Tags: they insert booking and customer data wherever you choose.

Invoices attached to the booking email
The invoice can be attached to email notifications, so you don't have to send it separately.
Think of the add-on as one piece of the booking workflow: it doesn't replace accounting software. It's there to generate and deliver the document for each appointment, not to keep your books.

Invoice Addon doesn't work on its own: it's a BookingPress add-on. If you aren't using BookingPress for your bookings yet, weigh the whole package and not just this add-on.
Don't expect more from it than it describes: a tag-based template and attachment by email. Before deciding, check in the demo whether the generated invoice includes the fields your business needs (tax details, itemised breakdown) and how the result looks.
Do I have to design the invoice from scratch?
You create the template in the text editor and add tags with the data you want to show. You do it once and it's reused on every booking.
How does the invoice reach the customer?
You can attach it to BookingPress email notifications.
Does it work as accounting software?
No. It generates and delivers the invoices for your bookings, but it doesn't manage your accounting.
Does it meet the invoicing requirements of my country?
That depends on the content of your template. Check with your adviser which details an invoice must carry in your case.
