When the homepage header no longer works for the shop

Almost every website starts with a header, a blog and little else. Then a shop, a portfolio or a version in another language arrives, and the same header has to serve pages with opposite needs: the homepage wants a clean menu, the shop wants quick access to products, and long posts want navigation that does not vanish on scroll. The design that worked for the first stage of the site becomes the bottleneck of the second.

Customify Pro is an extension for the Customify theme (it does not work on its own) built for that growth: it changes the header depending on the area of the site, expands menus and offers more ways to display blog, portfolio and shop. If your site is going to stay at five pages, the base theme will most likely be enough.

Conditional headers, mega menus and an expanded footer in Customify Pro

This is the most useful block for medium and large sites:

• Several headers with display conditions: one for the homepage, another for archives, posts or WooCommerce screens.
• Sticky rows: top, main and bottom, with an option to show them only on scroll up and with their own logo, height, border and shadow for the fixed state.
• Mega menus for wide navigation structures, plus control over submenu width, the states of each item and typography.
• Extra builder elements: contact details, icon boxes, free HTML and a secondary menu in the header; in the footer, a top row and a horizontal menu.

The limits are worth knowing: Customify Pro works on top of the Customify theme and its visual header and footer builder, and it is not a page builder for laying out page content. The language switcher only makes sense with WPML installed, and the shop modules need WooCommerce.

For the shop

Quick view from listings, filters in an off-canvas panel, a product gallery with horizontal or vertical thumbnails, image zoom and lightbox, and automatic product loading or a load more button. It helps visitors browse the catalog with fewer clicks.

For publishing

Classic, columns, masonry and lateral blog layouts; a portfolio content type with categories, filters and layout controls; and infinite scroll or a load more button. The content order of the cards, media, spacing and article styling are adjusted from the Customizer.

Questions to ask before enabling Customify Pro

Do I need the Customify theme?

Yes. It is an extension of the theme and relies on its builder, so it does not replace another theme.

Is it useful if I do not use WooCommerce?

The shop modules require WooCommerce. Without it, you will be interested in the headers, mega menus, blog layouts and utilities.

Do I have to enable every module?

No. It is modular: you can enable only what each project needs.

Does it work for a multilingual site?

With WPML you can place a styled language switcher in the header. If you use another language plugin, check in the demo how it behaves.

Hooks, Adobe Fonts, cookie notice and back-to-top button

Besides the big blocks there are standalone utilities that save you small plugins:

• Customify Hooks: insert your own markup or scripts at points of the theme, with archive or single page conditions and visibility by user role.
• Adobe Fonts: connect a project and use its families from the typography controls.
• Advanced styling: page header titles, covers, backgrounds and footer rows from the Customizer.
• Cookie notice and back to top: both configurable. The notice is a visual tool: whether your site complies with cookie regulations depends on how you configure it and on what you load.

The fashion, fitness and skincare demo shops are the best starting point

If you are building a shop, do not start from scratch: the demos combine Customify's global colors, typography, headers and footers with shop and product page structures adapted to mobile. Their page content is composed with Blocksify blocks, so count on that add-on if you want to keep that layout.

Enable just one module first, the one that solves your most urgent problem (for example, the shop header), and add the others when the project calls for them. That keeps the site light and helps you understand what each one adds.
