About Divi WordPress Theme
Designing the whole site on top of the site itself
Most builders edit the content of a page and leave the rest to the theme: the header, the footer, how a post looks, how a category looks. Which means half the site is designed in an options panel and the other half by dragging blocks, with two different logics living side by side.
Divi does not separate those halves. It is theme and builder at once, and it is edited directly on the real page, seeing the result as you work rather than saving and checking.
The Theme Builder
This is the piece that separates it from a page builder alone. It lets you design global headers and footers, the post template, archive templates and shop pages, with selective sync for updating shared elements without disturbing the specific ones.
In practice: you change the footer once and it changes on all three hundred pages.
Layout
It works with flexbox and CSS grid, and with configurable breakpoints for desktop, tablet and mobile. That lets you tune each device separately instead of trusting that what looks right large will look right small, which it almost never does.
Dynamic content
The Loop Builder repeats content from posts, terms or users, which is what lets you build a product listing, a portfolio or a directory without every item being a hand-placed box.
There are also field variables accepting CSS units, global variables and mathematical functions, for designs that need calculation rather than a fixed number.
