Forminator Pro, by WPMU DEV, brings forms, payments, polls and quizzes together in one plugin, with a builder that needs no code.
The underlying idea is useful if your site lives off what people fill in: orders, sign-ups, applications, quotes. Every extra field and every confusing step is a visitor who leaves. That is why everyday usability details matter more than the number of features.
Fields, logic and registration: what Forminator Pro solves in a form
The basics are already designed for forms that are more than a simple contact form:
- Advanced fields: repeatable fields, calculations and conditional logic.
- Save and resume: users save a draft and finish it later.
- Registration and login: sign-up and sign-in forms for users.
- Anti-spam: reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha or Turnstile.
- Your own style: design, colors and layout adjustable to your brand.
- Templates: ready-made presets and cloud templates as a starting point.
It also includes polls with images and instant results, which you can place anywhere with a shortcode.
Taking payments with Stripe and PayPal, and what is reserved for Pro
Forms can accept payments with Stripe and PayPal. With Stripe, asynchronous or delayed payments are also supported, such as bank transfers, SEPA and ACH Direct Debit, and pending or failed submissions are distinguished on the submissions page, which helps when reconciling payments is part of the job.
The functions that make the difference in the Pro version are these:
- Stripe subscriptions: recurring payments from the form itself.
- PDF generator: turns submissions into documents managed from a single place; they can be password protected.
- E-signature field: digital signing inside the form, with configurable style, visibility and behavior.
- Geolocation: autocompletes addresses and shows a map with the user's location.
Quizzes, email and automations: for capturing contacts
BuzzFeed-style quizzes help capture leads: the participant answers, you collect their contact details and can write to them. They include options to share on social networks. To connect with other tools there are integrations with ActiveCampaign, Google Sheets and Slack, plus an n8n integration that sends each submission's data to your workflows.
A reasonable doubt: if your project is just a contact form, a good part of this is more than you need.
Is Forminator Pro worth it, or is another option enough?
It is worth it if you need to charge subscriptions, generate PDFs, collect signatures or autocomplete addresses. If you only want a contact form with anti-spam, it is more tool than you will use.
Does it work without paying for the Pro version?
Forms, polls, quizzes, Stripe and PayPal payments, registration and anti-spam are among the general features. PDF, geolocation, Stripe subscriptions and e-signature are Pro features.
Does it work for recurring payments?
Yes, with Stripe subscriptions, which are a Pro feature. You need a connected Stripe account.
Can I send the data to my email tool?
Yes, there is an integration with ActiveCampaign, among others, and with n8n for your own workflows.
Does it protect against spam?
Yes, with reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha or Turnstile. Spam submissions can be reviewed with a status filter.
