Your SaaS website changes every time the product changes
A startup or a SaaS rarely has a finished website: plans change, a new feature ships, another headline gets tested on the landing page. The problem is not the initial design, but that every tweak ends up waiting for a developer. Framer is a theme for startups and SaaS that works on top of Elementor.
It also fits corporate websites, small businesses, authority blogs, sales pages and online shops. It is aimed at freelancers who build websites for clients.
Import a demo and keep only what you will use
The demo importer lets you choose which demo to install and which content to bring in: pages, posts, widgets, menu items, media and theme options. It installs the required plugins and warns you if something goes wrong.
There is also a library of more than 500 pre-designed sections and pages that you combine as blocks. Tip: import into a test site first and delete what you do not need.
Elementor, 26 shape dividers and more than 200 elements
Everything is edited by drag and drop in Elementor, seeing the result while you style. What matters most on a website that changes often:
- Revision history, autosave and undo: you can go back after a bad change.
- Draft mode: you work on one version while the published one stays live.
- Save and reuse elements: what you design once you can take to other pages.
- Export and import between sites: the design travels in a JSON file.
- Fonts and backgrounds: any Google font or your own, and image, slideshow, video, color or gradient backgrounds.
Among the more than 200 elements there are pieces typical of a software website: pricing tables, testimonials, logo carousels, FAQs, counters, changelog, social proof and dark mode. There are also elements for Calendly, Mailchimp and several form plugins.
Decide whether Framer fits you before building the site
Pages are built with Elementor, so that is the editor you will be using. Many of the elements rely on external plugins (WooCommerce, forms, donations, courses, events): if you want to use them, you need that plugin installed. Check in the demo that the elements you care about work with your version of Elementor.
Is it suitable for an online shop?
It includes WooCommerce elements (products, categories, cart, checkout, mini cart), but the shop itself is provided by WooCommerce, not by the theme.
Can I reuse my design on another site?
Yes, by exporting and importing the Elementor design in a JSON file.
Do I have to import the whole demo?
No. You choose which demo and which types of content to import, or you can combine sections from the library.
Is it only for SaaS?
No. It works just as well for corporate websites, blogs or sales pages, although its look is designed for startups.
