About Gravity Forms Survey Addon

A survey built with an ordinary form ends up as a spreadsheet with hundreds of rows nobody feels like reading. Scale questions mixed with free text, answers that can't be compared and conclusions drawn by eye. Gravity Forms Survey Addon is designed to avoid exactly that: collect structured answers and see them already grouped by question.

An example: measuring satisfaction after delivering a project

Imagine you run an agency or a studio and want to know what clients think when a job ends. A well-framed scale question helps tell the satisfied client from the one who is not. Here is how the process goes:

Step 1: choose the format of each question

The add-on adds eight field types made for surveys: Likert scales, rankings, ratings, checkboxes, dropdowns and text, among others. You use a scale for the satisfaction level, a ranking so they can order what they value most and a text field for the free comment.

Step 2: adjust the questionnaire

You can change labels and choices, mark questions as required and add conditional logic. For example, "what could we improve?" only appears if the score is low. That way the questionnaire is short for those who are happy and goes deeper only where needed.

Step 3: read the results without exporting anything

Submissions are summarized inside the WordPress dashboard, broken down by question. You can filter by date or by criteria, so comparing this quarter's answers with the previous one doesn't require building pivot tables.

What it needs and how far the analysis goes

The add-on doesn't work on its own: it needs Gravity Forms installed. The analysis is a summary of answers per question; if you need to cross questions with each other, check in the demo whether the summary is enough.

Other uses that fit Gravity Forms Survey Addon

  • Associations and nonprofits: assess the impact of a program, volunteer satisfaction or opinions about an event.
  • Online stores: measure the shopping experience or collect opinions about products.
  • Internal teams: employee engagement or satisfaction surveys.
  • Market research: test a new product with a customer panel before launching it.

In all these cases the advantage is the same: questions that can be compared with each other, instead of loose comments.

Frequently asked questions about Gravity Forms Survey Addon

Does it work without Gravity Forms?

No. It is an add-on that extends Gravity Forms.

Can I make some questions appear depending on the previous answer?

Yes, conditional logic is available, as is marking fields as required.

Can I filter the results?

Yes, by date or by other criteria, with answers grouped by question.

Is it suitable for surveys of employees or donors?

Yes: it works for employee engagement surveys and for gathering donor feedback. If you collect personal or health data, first check which privacy obligations apply to you.

Before deciding: test a real questionnaire

Build in the demo the survey you will actually send, with your scale and your conditional questions, and see whether the results summary gives you the reading you want.
