About GravityView Social Sharing and SEO
Your Gravity Forms entries exist, but Google and social networks don't see them well
You publish a Gravity Forms listing with GravityView (a directory, a catalog, a job board) and find that sharing a specific entry on social media gives a poor preview, and that in search engines every page looks the same. Each entry has its own content, but nobody has decided how it is presented outside your site.
GravityView Social Sharing and SEO is a GravityView extension that solves exactly that: it adds sharing buttons to Views and entries, and lets you control how they appear in search engines and on social networks.
What GravityView Social Sharing and SEO does with each View and each entry
- Sharing buttons: they rely on Jetpack Sharing.
- Metadata with Yoast SEO: titles, descriptions, schema and social images for Views are managed through Yoast SEO.

If your site lives on people finding specific entries (a member, a venue, an offer), traffic arrives at individual pages, not the homepage.

If what you publish gets talked about (results, projects, events), the Jetpack Sharing buttons make it easy for someone to forward a View or an entry without copying links.
It needs GravityView, Yoast SEO and Jetpack, and it doesn't replace an SEO strategy
It is an extension and doesn't work alone. You need GravityView (and therefore Gravity Forms), Yoast SEO for the metadata part and Jetpack for the sharing buttons. If you don't use one of them, that part won't be useful to you.
It also doesn't write content for you: if your entries have empty or vague fields, the titles and descriptions will be equally poor. And improving the preview doesn't guarantee rankings on Google: it helps them understand you, not choose you.

Do I need Gravity Forms?
Yes. The extension works on GravityView Views, which in turn display Gravity Forms entries.
Does it work without Yoast SEO?
The titles, descriptions, schema and social images are controlled with Yoast SEO, so without it you would lose that feature.
