You pay for ads and don't know which ones sell
Investing in Google Ads, Meta or TikTok without knowing which campaign ends in a sale is spending blind: the platforms give you clicks, but the sale happens in your store, not in their dashboard. If the pixel isn't properly placed in WordPress, the ad algorithm doesn't learn who buys and optimizes using poor data.
MonsterInsights PPC Tracking Addon takes care of the technical part: it lets you paste each tag or pixel from the plugin settings.
Which ad platforms MonsterInsights PPC Tracking Addon supports
The conversion settings include an ad pixel section with fields for these platforms:
- Google Ads: conversion ID and conversion label.
- Meta (Facebook) Ads: the Meta pixel.
- Bing Ads: the UET tag.
- TikTok Ads: the TikTok pixel.
- Pinterest Ads: the Pinterest tag ID.
You generate the codes on each platform and paste them here. The addon doesn't create campaigns or ad accounts for you.
Store, membership and donation conversions
The addon integrates automatically with WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, EasyAffiliate, GiveWP, LifterLMS, MemberPress and Restrict Content Pro. This matters because the conversion you want to measure is rarely a visit: it's a purchase, a subscription, an enrollment or a donation. If you use one of those plugins, transactions can reach your ad platforms.
Google Ads needs the eCommerce addon
To enter the Google Ads conversion label you must also have the MonsterInsights eCommerce addon active. Once the ID and label are in place, tracking of your transactions starts on its own, with no further configuration.
Other requirements and limits
- You need the MonsterInsights base plugin installed and connected to your Google Analytics account.
- The Ads addon must not be active: it's one or the other, never both at once.
- It's an add-on: without the MonsterInsights plugin it doesn't work.
Frequently asked questions before activating it
Can I use Ads and PPC Tracking at the same time?
No. If you activate PPC Tracking, the Ads addon must stay deactivated.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You just copy the identifiers from each platform and paste them into their fields.
Is it useful if I don't sell products?
It can be if you use one of the compatible plugins, such as GiveWP for donations or LifterLMS for courses. Check in your case which event you want to count as a conversion.
How do I know it works?
You can verify that the tags load using Google Tag Assistant.
It's set up from Insights, in the Conversions tab
Once the base plugin is installed, the order is short: activate the addon from the addons list, go to the Conversions settings and scroll down to the ad pixel section. Have each platform's codes at hand beforehand: the Google Ads ID and label, the Meta pixel, the Bing UET tag, the TikTok pixel or the Pinterest ID. When you finish, check with Google Tag Assistant that each tag fires before raising the budget on your campaigns.
