About Ninja Forms EmailOctopus
A mailing list is lost at the front door
Many people set up a form on their website, use another tool to send newsletters, and end up exporting contacts by hand every so often, or simply forgetting to do it. The result: people who did want to subscribe and never reach the list.
Ninja Forms EmailOctopus adds a connection to your EmailOctopus account to your Ninja Forms forms.
Three websites that get the most out of Ninja Forms EmailOctopus
The plugin does one thing, but in very different situations:
If you publish a blog or a newsletter
Your signup form is the most important asset on your site.
If you run a shop or a service business
Include a clear consent field in the form, because sending marketing requires that the person has agreed to it.
If you manage client websites
If the client already works with EmailOctopus, you don't force them to change sending tools.
What happens in EmailOctopus once the contact is in
Once someone is on the list, EmailOctopus does the work, not the plugin. This is what that service offers:
- Email delivery through Amazon SES.
- Mobile-friendly email templates.
- Automations such as drip sequences and scheduled actions.
- Performance tracking for each campaign, including bounces and unsubscribes.
EmailOctopus also connects with Zapier, and through it you can link other applications, such as Salesforce or WooCommerce. That connection is set up in EmailOctopus and Zapier, not in the form.
Questions before installing
Does it work without Ninja Forms?
No. It is a Ninja Forms add-on and needs that plugin to be installed.
Do I need an EmailOctopus account?
Yes. The plugin connects your form to your account, and an invalid API key stops the connection from working, so check it when you set it up.
Can I use it to connect to my CRM?
Not directly. If you need to send data to a CRM, you would have to do it through Zapier from your EmailOctopus account.
Without Ninja Forms and an EmailOctopus account it does nothing
This plugin is only the bridge: it doesn't create forms, design emails or manage subscribers on its own. If you don't use Ninja Forms yet or don't have a list in EmailOctopus, you will need to set up both pieces before it is of any use.
It also doesn't decide consent for you: add a notice or checkbox to the form yourself.
