About Ollis – Architecture Agency & Interior Design WordPress Theme
When the list of uses is very long, it is worth reading it backwards
Ollis presents itself for architecture agencies, furniture shops, interior design, architect portfolios, mattress shops, construction firms, 3D visualisation, home decoration and several more. It is a long list, and it says something real about the product that is worth understanding before buying.
A theme that serves fourteen purposes is optimised for none: what changes between those uses are the demos, not the features. Underneath there is one portfolio and corporate pages theme with different sets of templates and colours.
That is not a fault. For most practices it is exactly what is needed, because a well-laid-out portfolio and some service pages is everything an architecture agency requires. You just have to buy knowing what you are buying.
What it contributes
- Several demos aimed at architecture, interior design, furniture and construction.
- Portfolio formats for presenting projects with large imagery.
- Corporate pages: services, team, contact, about us.
- Responsive design with colour and typography options.
A portfolio and a furniture shop are two different businesses
It is the confusion that long list brings, and worth separating because it decides what you actually need.
An architecture practice does not sell on the website: it sells a meeting. Its portfolio exists so the visitor understands how you think and calls you. What matters there is how each project gets told, and anything resembling a cart is surplus.
A furniture shop does sell on the website, and then finish and size variants come in, volume-based shipping, manufacturing lead times and returns of large objects. None of that gets solved by a portfolio theme, however many furniture demos it shows.
If yours is the second case, look at WooCommerce themes ahead of architecture themes. If it is the first, this family of themes is the right one.
Requirements
It needs WordPress. Like almost all themes of this kind, the demo images carry their own licence and have to be replaced with yours, which in architecture you are going to do anyway because the portfolio is your own work.
Alternatives in the catalogue
Within pure architecture, Brok is the most focused option and brings several data-rich project page formats, and Hiroshi leans towards the practice with photographed work. If the weight is on interior design, Interico is designed from there.
If you prefer not committing to a theme and would rather build the design on Elementor, Nordicus is a set of minimalist templates for the same sector, imported over whatever theme you already have.
And for the furniture shop case, the one this theme does not fully solve, Drile is built on WooCommerce with the variants and product page needed there.
One last note: in architecture portfolios movement sells, and done well it distinguishes a great deal. Motion.page lets you build scroll animations without writing code, and over photographs of built work the effect is notable.
Frequently asked questions
Is it an architecture-specific theme?
It is a portfolio and corporate pages theme with architecture, interior design and furniture demos.
Is it suitable for selling furniture?
For showing it, yes. For selling it with variants and shipping, a WooCommerce theme is the answer.
Can I use the demo images?
No. They carry their own licence and have to be replaced.
How many projects should be published?
Few, and well told. Three explained projects are worth more than fifteen in a grid.
Does it need a builder?
It brings its own template system. If you prefer Elementor, there are template sets for the same sector.
Does it work for a construction firm?
Yes, it is one of the intended uses, with service pages and completed work.
